    I offer my immense gratitude to our magical Marianne for so kindly and imaginatively creating the wonderful In Memory Of Group especially for Enchanted Folk ~ I am greatly appreciative, and also wish to thank Ailynari for her gentle help with the moderation ~ we are sincerely blessed with all our precious friends, their everlasting care and kindness, and this unique place offering us the lovely opportunity to visit, reflect and maybe voice our thoughts…

    I warmly bid you a cozy welcome to our winter issue of the Enchanted Folk Faezine. This fourth edition beautifully brings us full circle - our Faezine journey has taken its first complete step, and I couldn't be more proud. This initial chapter in our history has been a great honour and real pleasure for me to be a part of.

    When gathering these articles through the winter months, I was fascinated as to how this cyclical change in our weather, through the darkest time of year in the Northern Hemisphere, effects and interests our amazing columnists. Although we are all squirreled away in a more hibernating mood, I am deeply appreciative of them sharing such captivating thoughts, feelings and stories that enlighten and bring light...

    We once again have some special new writers joining our talented team, and I sincerely thank our generous Enchanted Folk for their much valued and engaging contributions.

    ENCHANTED FOLK WORLDMEET  September 2010

    The Enchanted Folk Worldmeet has been set for the following weekend dates:

    Friday 10th to Sunday 12th September 2010 in Pipestone, Minnesota USA. Please see ef worldmeet Group for details of this exciting annual event debut, and to learn more about Pipestone; a truly meaningful venue and a great honour for our gentle community.

    Our sincere gratitude to dear RdeHwyll and Dragonfly7 for all their amazing hard work and dedication to really making Be's wish come true... "we need volunteers to help make this event happen."     EF MERRY MEETS 2009

    Saturday 7th November in Baltimore MD

    Another two! Pennsylvania EF Merry Meets took place at FaerieCon, again very kindly organised by RdeHwyll - The evening Merry Meet was held in the Cinnamon Tree Bar and Grill on site in the Marriott Hunt Valley Hotel, and The Mini-Meet was held that morning in the same Restaurant, located in the convention complex. Please see Merry Meet Group for details.

    (We are also grateful to RdeHwyll for arranging special EF Gatherings at Spoutwood Fairie Festival. And for Making Wishes Come True ...)

    ENCHANTED FOLK's  SECOND ANNIVERSARY 21st September 2009   

    EF celebrated our 2nd Birthday with a UK Northwest Merry Meet in Cheshire, very kindly hosted by our lovely Louise with an Enchanted Tea Party EF UK Merry Meet Group

    The FAIRY NANA Project
    We are utterly thrilled for our adored Fairy Nana who, through her devoted magical goodness and generous giving, has inspired a Guild - begun in her name at Children's Hospital in Seattle - for others to help with her wonderful work. Such a well deserved honour for such an enchanted lady, Well Done darling eve.     Previous EF Merry Meets...

    On June 20th 09 we had a wonderful sunny annual midsummer UK EF Merry Meet at Sally Lunn's Refreshment House (c.1400) in the beautiful City of Bath with delicious Cream Teas, Bath Buns and dear company in an enchanted teashop (and in the park too!)  

      Stephan and Liz in Cornwall kindly hosted a weekend UK EF Merry Meet - they welcomed us beautifully and we thank them for a magical time in the woods, on the beach and at their cottage.  

    First Ever UK EF Merry Meet took place on 21st June 08 at Batsford Arboretum, Cotswolds and we had such fun among the trees with our Enchanted friends. There are always more Meets planned so please see UK EF Group for info and photos! Thank you dear Amanda

    Hear my silent prayer
    As I ask for this circle of light
    To embrace this meeting place
    Where a gathering of different cultures and nations
    Will meet with respect for one another
    Whereby they will learn to listen to one another...
    Without prejudice
    Try and understand one another...
    Without judgement.

    For all those that are lead here
    In order that this circle of light

    Bring all together from far and near every kind of crafted art.
    Show the masters, teach the student and those who have yet to start.
    Create a world where myth can live a place where dreams can be real.
    Give wings to visions breath to wishes life to what the heart can feel.
    This world of wonder allows all who want the chance to so freely share.
    A home for magic, myth and wish, fantasies dwell uniquely there.
    Share epic yarns where told is the hero who shall reign over one and all.
    Or of mystic gatherings in deep dark woods drawn by the dragon's call.
    Then there are the evil overtones that sometime mix within a tale of pride.
    Reveal the torment, a fate pondered, while on a night’s final ride.
    Add whispers from the wind’s own voice, its secrets told to a leaf filled tree.
    Treasured rewards do still await, for the brave, whose wish it is to truly see.
    Make moments pleasant bring forth a change upon the lost and weary face.
    Within a word dwells the touch that gently lingers its soft embrace.
    Without Be then beauty can not exist its enchantment gone with it too.
    So long as dreamers do believe this special place is where there’s Drew.

    From the land of I Do Believe

    Magical Greetings, my name is Be and I am delighted to meet you.
    Together with Drew in 2004, our simple wish to bring Amy Brown's first fine art book into Europe became the beginning of I Do Believe Ltd. IDB is now a specialist publishing company working with visionary fantasy mythical faerie artists Amy Brown, Ian Daniels, Jack Shalatain, Jasmine Becket-Griffith, Paulina Cassidy, J Corsentino, Meredith Dillman, Jane Sarr Weils, Julia Jeffrey, Suzanne Gyseman and Alexandra Dawe. We also distribute books/prints by Brian and Wendy Froud, Jessica Galbreth, Nene Thomas, Josephine Wall, Stephanie Pui-Mun Law, and music by The Gypsy Nomads!
    I am honoured to be the UK Editor for Faerie Magazine and since 2005 have been writing for, and distributing this beautiful International publication - my Uniting Kingdoms section was launched in 2007, Kubiando!
    In Sept 07 we began this long held dream - Enchanted Folk - our gift to the Faerie Community a Faespace for everyone who Believes.

    And Spring 09 saw the exciting launch of the EF Faezine our online community magazine inspired by the members here - I am delighted to present this wonderful collection of imaginative thinkers...
