About Me:I read and I write, and I write and I read. Many of my stories are sensual and erotic. Some mysterious, some dark. From fantasy to contemporary, and beyond. And almost always romantic. I like to walk. I like being alone. I like to sew and crochet and knit. I like research history. I love the Medieval period. But I also like investigating cities and studying the architecture of old buildings and musing about the people who lived there. I love life.

Music:Eclectic tastes in music. From heavy metal, to pop, to world, to country to classical. From Clannad to Tim McGraw to Daughtry to Cher to Iron Butterfly to Josh Groban and Il Divo. It depends on my mood at any given moment.
Movies:Dangerous Beauty, Moulin Rouge, Phantom of the Opera, Yes, Tombstone, All That Heaven Allows, The Illusionist, Bram Stoker's Dracula, as well as an assortment of vintage horror.
TV:I don'****ch much regular television. CSI, CSI: Miami, Law and Order, Law and Order: Criminal Intent, NCIS, Torchwood, TruBlood, NCIS.
Books:Many, many, many. I have a collection of over 2500, and to be read pile of hundred. Like music my tastes are eclectic. I love paranormal, horror, and romance. But I also enjoy literature, nonfiction, historical, and erotica.
A visitor came to wish me well this morning as I prepare to leave for the Faerieworlds Festival in Eugene, Oregon.
So I stepped outside this morning to let my dog out. Mikala wasn't much
in the mood at just that point to go out. She's older and kind of
finicky. And usually, it's right when I'm in the middle of writing a
really intense scene she decides then it's time to go out.
Anyway, I stood on the back step waiting for her to make up her mind when I spotted the bunny in the backyard--I mean right in the backyard almost next to the house. "Camera! Quick!" Any of my friends will tell you I usually have camera in hand, so I
knew it wasn't far away. But rabbits aren't always in the mood to hang
around and wait for the moment. You know what I mean?
So closing
the door as quietly as I could, I ran back into the house, praying that
my batteries were still good because I doubted I'd have time to change
them. Yup, batteries working. First, I took a picture through the
window, because who knew what would happen once the bunny heard the
door squeak when I opened it? Holding my breath, and camera ready, then
I carefully opened the door and stood on the step. I prayed Mikala
wouldn't decide just at that moment to send off a round of barking and
dash past me out the door. Phew! I was in luck. I guess she wasn't
awake either.
So I focused the camera (thank goodness for zoom) and started clicking away. God, I love digital.
Surprisingly,
the bunny was apparently feeling quite photogenic this morning and
stayed in place for much longer than I expected as I tried to inch
closer and closer. You know the dance--step-focus-snap-step-focus-snap.
That one. I was surprised it was being so congenial and friendly this
morning.
My dog, on the other hand, took off in the opposite
direction, completely ignoring the rabbit. Good for me and good for the
bunny.
So, good morning to Mr. Rabbit who stopped in to munch
and chat for a bit. It was a nice start to the day. And now I need some
coffee.
Considering I'm leaving for the Faerieworlds Festival
tomorrow, I guess it's time for the woodland creatures to come out to
play.
I do love inspiration that comes in all its forms.
My Miss Bunny must believe she can become invisible. She let me walk 4x yesterday within a yard of her without budging. She will freeze and think she blends into the green grass. Not!
She is also quite naughty. Has nibbled my new hollyhocks down--some to no lives and some to within an inch of their lives. Also destroyed a stalk of borage, flowers and leaves.
The first part of this year has been a busy one for me. Three conventions in six weeks. I arrived home after the last one quite ill and it took me several weeks to recover. Coming back to see the blooms on the fruit trees and bushes and the lush greenery was very healing for me.
I have to say I've been a bit sad because several of the trees near my house were cut down last fall, and the blackberry bushes that bordered the back of our property are now also gone. I know the trees could have been a danger to the house, and in Washington blackberry bushes grow rampant and are hard to contain, but something about their loss wounds me.
I had begun a story for my granddaughter that deals with the blackberry bushes and the bunny rabbits and now I no longer have them here to inspire me.
I really do sometimes think I don't quite belong in this world an****ep looking for the door I must have passed through that got me here.
I guess I'll have to make do, but I feel a lot of homes disappeared with the loss of the trees and the blackberries. I don't hear the owl anymore and I haven't seen the rabbits. I kind of keep this stuff to myself because not very many people understand and tend to look at me a bit oddly.
But I thought maybe I could share it here. Just to say I mourn the trees and the blackberries, the owl and rabbits. And maybe writing about them will keep them alive--at least in my world.
Well, I think you may have found a place here at EF where people do understand and are mostly like-minded! I thought what you wrote about the disappearance of flora and fauna was very sweet and sad. The memory of your appreciation of these things will live on in the story you are creating....I do hope you fini****!
I enjoyed your pictures of Faeries World last year....I was there, too. We probably passed each other! ;)
I never know where my Muse will lead me. There are days when she leads me far astray from where I should be and sometimes I get lost. This morning she has led me here to the Enchanted Folk.
I've learned to listen to my Muse for she often leads me to magical places where my imagination and creativity can blossom. Mayhap such a place is this.
I look forward to more discoveries as I travel the paths within the world of the Enchanted Folk. Be they dark or be they light, I will wander amongst you and learn and enjoy and dance and listen.
I am most pleased to be here and shall converse more as my Muse allows.
Hello Adrianna, welcome & thank you for following your muse & joining our EF community, we wish you happy wanderings here - it is one of my favourite things to do! I've enjoyed your photos of the Secret House Winery, we were there two years ago & it is a lovely place. (I thought our family had gathered many books until I saw your collection total;)

But as the commercial says: SHE'S WORTH IT!
