    Recovery

    Friday, May 9, 2008, 10:30 AM [General]

The first part of this year has been a busy one for me.  Three conventions in six weeks.  I arrived home after the last one quite ill and it took me several weeks to recover.  Coming back to see the blooms on the fruit trees and bushes and the lush greenery was very healing for me.

I have to say I've been a bit sad because several of the trees near my house were cut down last fall, and the blackberry bushes that bordered the back of our property are now also gone.  I know the trees could have been a danger to the house, and in Washington blackberry bushes grow rampant and are hard to contain, but something about their loss wounds me.

I had begun a story for my granddaughter that deals with the blackberry bushes and the bunny rabbits and now I no longer have them here to inspire me.

I really do sometimes think I don't quite belong in this world an****ep looking for the door I must have passed through that got me here.

I guess I'll have to make do, but I feel a lot of homes disappeared with the loss of the trees and the blackberries.  I don't hear the owl anymore and I haven't seen the rabbits.  I kind of keep this stuff to myself because not very many people understand and tend to look at me a bit oddly.

But I thought maybe I could share it here.  Just to say I mourn the trees and the blackberries, the owl and rabbits.  And maybe writing about them will keep them alive--at least in my world.

    Thanks for letting me share.

    Where the Muse Leads...

    Sunday, May 4, 2008, 09:50 AM [General]

I never know where my Muse will lead me.  There are days when she leads me far astray from where I should be and sometimes I get lost.  This morning she has led me here to the Enchanted Folk.

I've learned to listen to my Muse for she often leads me to magical places where my imagination and creativity can blossom.  Mayhap such a place is this.

I look forward to more discoveries as I travel the paths within the world of the Enchanted Folk.  Be they dark or be they light, I will wander amongst you and learn and enjoy and dance and listen.

I am most pleased to be here and shall converse more as my Muse allows.

    Pleasant musings all,

    FaeAdri
