Welcome to my new blog, devoted purely to my doll clothes. I'm still a pretty bad photographer, so that is what I'll have to work on next.  But, like my profile says, most of these things are available for sale, or I can make you the same/very similar items.  Feel free to comment or message me about it.  Otherwise, I don't have much to say yet!

Hello Beth, so great to meet dear Enchanted's sister, Welcome!

You probably know this already, but for those that don't - Amy Brown, Nene Thomas and Renee Biertempfel (blogs on these last two coming up this week...) are collectors of these exquisite dolls - BJD's.

I'd never actually seen one before we were staying with Amy last summer and she showed us her collection. They are awesome! So beautiful but, understandably, expensive - so a true luxury and a passion only indulged when their art sells! Amy often has pictures of them on her main site and her darling mom, Nancy Brown, makes clothes for them too (as does Nene for hers)! So I've seen the kind of intricate outfits you must make - Wow! Nancy sometimes offers the costumes for sale through Amy's original site www.amybrownart.com (Amy's latest work is now on her newer site www.amybrowncollection.com) and I'll be blogging soon about her talents too - the clothes are often based on Amy's work (how lovely is that!) and occasionally Amy sells through part of her private collection to make room for her latest additions...

I'm doing an article on these gorgeous girls' hobby for Faerie Magazine and we recorded Amy and I chatting about them while we were in Seattle - I must get Drew to podcast that one soon, and then post our photos. I couldn't get over how Everything about these girl's grown up dolls is interchangeable, and that their favourite ones have been custom painted, making them totally unique!

So as you see, Beth, this could be a perfect place for you to maybe meet a new 'audience' and/or find new collectors, yay.

I'm sorry this welcome got so long -

    Happy sewing,

    Be
