I'm working on new series, incorporating some of the images from the failed illuminated manuscript attempt. I will be doing some more shooting in August, when I have the time as well, and I am really looking forward to that. I would love to post a new image here but it has nudity in its content. Eventually, I will have a separate link to it for you all to peruse. In the meantime, I started a new job, in addition to my modeling, which I am not thrilled about but the bills must get paid.
Hope all is well with my fae friends and have a wonderful weekend! *hugs*
Thanks to the fairy muses that inspire me, I am working on a new project. I spent 2 years on a body of work that didn't fare well, which led to a depression and a frustration including thoughts that I really wasn't an artist. Well, a few months after these thoughts began, I put that series on a back burner and just started shooting again. Now, between the new images I have, and some of the previous ones, I have a stronger concept.
During the summer months, I do most of my outdoor photography. For those that do not know, I photograph myself but sometimes use models with me. I've managed small groups of 5 people, including me but I would really like to do a larger group. If you live in the New York tri-state area and want to model for and with me as a creature of the wood (male or female), please contact me. I can offer travel money, lunch and prints for your time, as I do not have any gold stashed away in which to pay, unfortunately. I do also require a model release, even if you are in masks.
Serious inquiries only. I will conduct an online interview via email, including a photo of yourself to get an idea of what you are like. Realize I do not know you, so there is a bit of trust needed. If I decide not to use you, please do not take it personally. I will know what type of person I would like based on gut instinct.
I take my work very seriously, but how can one not have fun dressing up in fantasy costumes?!
Thank you for reading this and I hope to hear from you soon. :)
I need to find someone who does modern day illuminated manuscript artwork, somewhat locally to NY, so I can pick his/her brain about some things. If you know anyone, can you please have the person contact me? I'd greatly appreciate it!
Oh yeah - Houston went well. I've landed an exhibition in Amsterdam and possibly my third in England. :)
On Tuesday, I am off to Houston, Texas with my Illuminated Journey portfolio and a more "traditional" black and white portfolio for exhibiting, selling and/or publishing opportunities. Galleries, museums and publishers from around the globe will be there for me to present my work to. Please wish me luck!
