Wow it has been a while since I last updated my blog here! I can't believe it is now 2011. 2010 was a good year for me and my artwork. I went to some amazing events and met some lovely people in the last 12 months. This year I am looking to take my artwork in a new direction. I will still be producing Fantasy and wildlife based works rest assured, however after the sucess of my painting "Faerie catcher" I have decided to concentrate on more Steampunk themed pieces.
For those who are unsure what Steampunk is then imagine a world during Queen Victoria's reign but technology is more advanced. So airships, steam powered mechanical robots, ladies and gentlemen in googles and you have the basics of what Steampunk is. To learn more about this genre then you can't go wrong by visiting Wikipedia en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steampunk

I wish all my friends and every one on EF a wonderful Winter Solstice.
At the weekend I took part in the Yule fayre at Canterbury selling my art work. I made some lovely new friends and had a great time even though the snow and ice stopped a lot of people coming.
Whew!!! Am I relieved! Thanks for your reassuring words, Lindsey. I don't think you're a chav either! My Kent is a little village in a beautiful landscape of hilly woodlands. It's a good place to be. Your cards look fabulous, by the way. Cheers!
Hi Lindsey, I live in Kent too....Kent, Connecticut, that is....so I thought I should definitely say hello as a fellow Kentish person, and also ask....what in the world is a chav? I sure hope I'm not one of those!!!! Cheers!
Hello Lindsey! What beautiful fairey shoe! Your site is beautiful and I really look forward to knowing such a beautiful spirit from England! Dolphinhugs4u2! Cyndie
I have an old version of Painter and never learned to use it. I heard the new versions are much more User Friendly. I love some of the things Painter can do. I started using Photoshop because my computer guru Significant Other had it on hand. Now I am so accustomed to it and have so many techniques worked up with it that I may never switch. Still there is this part of me that wants a copy of Painter. :)
Hi Lindsey,
Thanks for the nice comment! I too would like to support myself with my art. Hope I can figure out how to get people to my website! What program do you use for your artwork. Mine is done on Photoshop so I'm curious. Many people use the same programs with very different results. It's what makes the world of Faerie interesting!
