I have finished the grizzly bear that I was commissioned. I hope my client likes it! I had a bit of trouble with my printer but it turned out ok in the end  ^_^

In other news I have become a member of Second life. My name is Serena Burnstein and I am normals hanging around Caledon.

Just as the title says. I passed my driving theory. thanks for your support. now on to the harder pratical :S

In other news I visited the london expo on Saturday and really enjoyed myself. It seemed more packed when I went back in october and can't wait to go again. maybe i'll even cosplay next time.

Am considrably poorer but happy for it :D

My biggest problem is that I'm a dreamer. Always have been always will be. My dream is have a career as a fantasy artist. I've been hounded at every turn by this. College and uni tutors dimissing it and not supporting me and now I can see those I care about wishing I'd stop dreaming and get a "normal" job.

I do work, I work for a coffee shop restaurant and craft shop. It's in the craft shop that I sell my greeting cards and prints which do ok but it's not reaching my target audience as much as I hoped and the only other shop in my town that specialises in spiritual things are not interested.

So why the sound change in the point of view of the ones who care about me? I'm in serious debt. Student loan debt and the interest is making it go higher. As a result I can't buy the things I used to, Faerie magazine being one of them and I am actually considering selling some of my collectibles but that would have to be a last resort.

So job wise what do I want to do? Well Something creative would be a bonus. There is a lot of talk about creative projects in my town but they are just talks right now. Anything else seems to be a fair way to travel and I'm still learning to drive right now.

I wouldn't mind doing shop work, especial if it was a book shop or something along those lines, especially if it means I could still paint in the evening and have weekends free. At least then I could still hold on to my dream.

Well here I am on my new computer and have already started creating on it! It is so much better to sit at a proper computer in a designated space rather then on my lap top.

I finally come to the realisation that this sort of digital artwork is what I enjoy doing the best and have decided that I don't have to prove myself to anyone else that this is a form of art! There are many people who can't do what I do. I have got talent ^_^

So armed with my new computer I have been busy getting on with my bear commission and plan to finish the long over due blue bell nymph. Next I need to sort out my buisness cards also.

Other news. I sold three copies of my children's book "Devon the Camper van" and plan to make more as soon as the priniting ink arrives. I just wish I could get lulu.com to work for my book layout and then I could use them to print it out, but i'm stuck on that right now so i'll have to keep producing them myself for the time being.
