Morning,
Was wondering if you all can tell me a little about the acrylic painting process?
I really love how some of you can paint with acrylics, shade and get a nice smooth, blended look.
How do you do that? I've been trying, but it doesn't seem to be working. All I'm accomplishing is wearing down a few brushes.
Is it all straight from the bottle or are your acrylics watered down?
I usually choose to paint on the ready made canvas' from the art or craft store. Do you simply paint on the canvas or is there some preparation before actually painting?
Is it gesso that you use for a premade canvas? I've tried that and am not sure if that was correct or if I was doing it right.
I would love it if my paintings could have that blended look like my digital art does. My paintings seem to take on a very flat or dirty appearance.
I would love to hear (read) your thoughts and ideas........possibly your process or a bit of it???

A new fairy I've been working on all week. Am stumped as far as a title for her and a background. I played around with some facial features and accidentally did her eyes like that. I think it kind of worked. Hope you like her.

Just wanted to say that I'm so glad to see all of you arriving/joining.
I also want to thank all of you for sending and accepting friend requests. I just know Enchanted Folk is going to be a huge hit and to be here with all of you is just wonderful.
I love it because, all in one place are people who have similar interests in fairies and fantasy and I feel a real sense of community building and growing.
I know alot of us are on LJ together and believe me, I appreciate all of you on my Friends' list over there. This, however, is different, a really good kind of different.
