Imagine

Imagine that you are a being of pure energy.  You might have always been thus, or you might have attained this state from a prior physical existence.  Various religions, philosophies, and physics theories support either or both of these options.  Anyway, there you are, a globe of energy bopping about the universe.

Merely drifting around being enlightened senseless might get boring after awhile, I would think. What other options might you explore? Some might find themselves drawn straight to God, yet others might not feel quite ready to take that step. Or they might go, get their marching orders, and come back with a mission or two in mind. Others might find themselves so tangled in old bitterness, fear, and cruelty that it stunts their imaginations, leaving them able to create only what is bitter, fearsome, and cruel, and so they huddle within hells of their own devising with like-minded souls, who congratulate each other on their realism.

Or they might do something else entirely.

What if, as a being of pure energy, you could create your own form to suit yourself, maybe even create your own reality? What if you collaborated with others to generate a whole new reality not bound by the limitations of your prior existence? What if, in fact, the physical world as we know it is itself but a construct, become inflexible and developing unrepealable "laws of physics" because the force of billions of people, for thousands of years, has so accumulated as to fix the agreed-upon assumptions into something more adamant than stone?

What form would you take? Tall and imposing? Tiny and secretive? Fabulously beautiful? Daringly grotesque? Beautiful yet with mistakes, strange anomalies slipping in from lack of concentration? Changing with your moods? If you wanted to fly, would you generate wings to give you confidence, or just leap up into the sky?

What about all of those globes of light associated with fairies, sometimes showing up on photographs, sometimes before the naked eye? Might they be fairies at rest, not generating any particular body for the moment, just relaxing once again into globes of pure energy, bopping about the universe?
