I'm often blown away by how awesome Enchanted Folk are... Tod's kind and thoughtful comments to all, Julie's caring for a lost kitty, Ailynari's unpretentious demeanor while speaking in poetic beauty. Yet in Merrie Fae Tresses' passing, I found Alibear's wonderful poem, which she calls "A Time to Let Go." Do read it if you can in Be's blog. In her touching and eye-opening words I found inspiration to write too (you see how we grow on each other?), loving her thoughts within the word "chrysalis." So please remember that while my poem is original, it wouldn't even exist unless Ali's fresh concept was there to branch off from first...
~ Life, yet unforeseen ~
The other night I dreamt a dream
Filled with a life, yet unforeseen!
And in it I found earth and trees...
Streams flowing, and buzzing bees
A blue sky above, with clouds puffy
Green fields about (that bunny so fluffy)!
And in this life I found such friends...
With treasured times that couldn't end
We romped and played and ran about
We hugged and kissed and left no doubt
Friends we'd be, this earnest endeavor...
Friends we'd be, to last Forever!
But one fine morning I did hear...
"Wake up darling!" as She did appear
A Faery Goddess bathed in Light
My wee eyes blinking at the sight
"Oh Mom, I dreamt a wonderful dream"
"Filled with a life, so unforseen!"
"Yes my darling, and that life did I take,
Fore now here you are, wide awake."
You see, that life was but a dream
As real as it looked, as real it seemed...
Wrapped as you were in warm covers
In a cocoon you slept, you now discover
As while in that dream, you slept so sound
A spiritual metamorphosis did abound
Fore while death loomed, it was only a skin
A chrysalis opened, your beauty within
Unfolding out now, aglow in your Light...
Into faerie heavens... you now take flight. :^)
