But ,  The last year and a half has been really busy for me!  even thoughi took 2010 off from doing shows and fairs, well  I am always busy sooo ofcourse I started a New project Building of my art studio (I may post  more on that later)

I have been Building an artstudio,   From scratch out of our old shed!! ( Thats alot of work!)  I am so tired of painting beside my bed with little room to work.. SO thats why I took on this project!

Now its not done yet mind you.. But its getting there!

I've also been doing alot of freelance bookcover  art.. alot of fun.. but  its work too;) and has been keeping me busy over the year soo I haven't really had time to post any thing..

As i said, I am a bad blogger!

Anyway, I just wanted to give an update in case anyone out there was wondering why I hadn't updated anything!

I will try to check messages here a bit more often now;)

      Keep creating,

    ~Carol

    The Sylvan Horn

    Saturday, April 25, 2009, 6:20 PM [General]

Recently Completed Book Cover for " The Sylvan Horn " By Robert Redinger

You can get the book online at amazon.com or through his website: Elfsword.com

Painted  by hand  In painter x and photoshop. Only Vauge refernces used.. like for the forest or boot style.

    Synopsis:

Before the days of men, there were elves. In a time they were great and powerful, the first dwellers, the brightest ray of dawn upon the earth. They brought light and music to the world and every breeze that stirs and wave that crashes still echoes with the wonder of the fair folk.

But a foulness is brewing in the east, where men deal in sorcery. They summon dire forces, unleashing a terrible power into the world. And the elves, once immortal, now fade from the earth. But knowing that all sorcery comes from Runes that were carved ages ago, Efkin, a young elf lord, races to find and destroy the hidden Runes before all is lost. He sets out to recover the horn of his ancestors that long ago summoned the forces that shaped the world. Only the horn has the power to break the Runes. He journeys into the east, but comes too close to the heart of sorcery and does not dare blow the horn. If he is tainted by the poison of the Runes the horn will sound a ruinous note that could spell the end of the earth.
