Today has been a beautiful early autumn day. For the first time this year I managed to sit out in my garden reading and communicating with the Fae. Bliss!!!
About Me:I have been working within the Faery Realm for 4 years. I first erncountered the Fae when I was “Piskey led” to Luxulyan woods, in St. Austell, Cornwall. My passion in life is Faery. I paint them, write about them and read anything and everything. Involving the Fae! My ultimate acknowledgement to Fairie is my fairy tattoo.
I live in a beautiful, fairy-filled cottage in Cornwall, with only fields, cows and crows
for neighbours. I share my life with my husband Stephan and my enchanted daughter
Lily. I have two adorable tabby cats named Binky and Breezer and two chickens called Molly and Myrtle.
I spend my days looking after my family and animals, cooking, cleaning, gardening and growing vegetables, walking in Luxulyan woods where I collect fallen twigs and
Branches to transform into fairy wands and fairy staffs. I also enjoy walking the coastal paths and on Carne beach, where I gather mermaids’ tears, shells and pebbles which I use for my crafts. Painting is also a huge part of my life and is very necessary for my sanity!!!
My family and I also spend time in South Africa, where Stephan is setting up the Primrose Project to support an aids orphanage. This is situated in East London in a tin shack, run solely by a 75 year old woman with her 55year old daughter. They are currently looking after 38 children suffering from Aids. These wonderful woman only have their pension to support the children and themselves. We are hoping to divide our time between Cornwall and South Africa. I wish to develop a South African Fairy retreat and sanctuary, the spirit of fairy is very much evident and waiting to be unleashed!
I also run Fairy School, an idea presented to me during a fairy meditation. I believe that all children deserve the precious gift of a magical childhood of which Fairy School can play a part.

Now she can can attend college enabling her to achieve her dreams. One of the greatest gifts we can offer our children is an education for life. Well done Lily , we are so very proud of you!
Last night I couldn't sleep so I composed another poem, I hope you enjoy it!
AUTUMN
The swirling mists are rolling in
across this sacred Celtic land
Mother Nature does give us all
the well earned fruits of our labour
From early spring to high summer
man has toiled with his willing hand
Now's the season to harvest in
abundant gifts from Mother Earth
Birds are circling across the heavens
ready to fly to distant shores
Fiery sun is losing her heat
slowly the air is cooling down
Our enchanted fae are busy
shaking off red and golden leaves
To form a majestic carpet
for fairies, elves, dryads and sylphs
to ride upon these fallen leaves
away to their enchanted realm
Flying on a magic carpet
to honour Fairy King and Queen
Let us create ceremony
to great this season of Autumn.
I have given up any hope of summer, so on to Autumn we go!!!!!
Congratulations Lily! (looking forward to meeting you tomorrow!)
I agree with you Liz that Autumn is settling in already, it's my favourite season so I don't mind! Lovely poem!
Today, thursday 7th August is an important day in the fairy calender. I urge all fairy believers to take a walk outside, as today is the day that Fairy hills and dwellings are revealed. If you wish to connect with the Fae please take a walk and see what you find! I will be interested to hear of your sightings.
Thank you darling Drew and Be for bringing your magical selves to our merry meet here in Cornwall. Due to our wonderful atmospheric weather here in Cornwall our itinary was modified in order to keep our wings becoming too soggy which does eventually hamper our flying!!
The fairie realm invited us to visit their enchanted realm in the magical Luxulyan Woods. We spent a mystical two hours walking along spiritual paths where the mineral enriched waters magically flow uphill defying the logical laws of gravity. The houses of the Fae were decked out in splendour, the mosses covering each one immacutely swept clean in various hues of green. We could feel eyes watching us and even found an underground dwelling with a toadstool chimney! Further on we discovered a faery hotel complete with a waterful to frolic in. . The dryads in the ancient oaks and beech trees bowed in reverence as the Fairy King and Queen of I Do Believe passed by. As Fairy Priest and Priestess, Stephan and I were truly honoured to share this enchanted kingdom .
As the sumnmer rain began to fall, we visited the village of Mevagissey where we were fortunate to meet a band of the Pirates of St. Piran. Beautiful woman and real handsome swash buckling men, a real delight on a damp summer's evening! We feasted on fish and chips which just happen to be the best in Cornwall. On arrival back to our humble little fairy filled cottage we sat up into the small hours swapping stories and eventually falling asleep .
After a late breakfast we headed to our local beach, Pendower . We spent an enjoyable morning collecting quartz, shells and mermaid's tears as a souvenier of a wonderful weekend with wonderful friends and wonderful memories.
Last night I spent making corn dollies in honour of Lammas and hung them by the fire as is the tradition.
I invite all members of EF to hold merry meets whenever possible as it is a way of communicating and honouring the Enchanted realm.
Wishing everyone love, peace and many fairy encounters and please enjoy every day this summer.
The Enchanted Folk merry meet to celebrate Lammas is being held on Saturday 2nd August.. We are meeting at 12 o'clock at the Admiral Benbow pub in Chapel Street Penzance. There is public parking near St. Johns Hall for those who wish to meet. The Admiral Benbow is one of Cornwall's most spectacular , it looks tiny from the outside, but inside transports you to a magical world dedicated to smugglers and pirates. It is run by a swash buckling pirate, a true character! We shall be leaving in convoy to a neolithic settlement called Carn Euny which boasts an underground fogou for a shared picnic with panoramic views across the bay of Penzance. This special site holds many secrets and is a fairy haunt. For those of you in no hurry we shall then proceed to my magical place Luxulyan Woods where with the fairies permission we shall have a barbecue. As the sun sets we shall take a walk along Pendower beach for a firework display to round off the evening.
Those of you who will be travelling from afar are most welcome to camp in our garden on both Friday and Saturday night. Breakfast will be supplied.
Please phone either myself or Stephan if you are coming on 01872 501873.
Darling Liz, Drew & I are really looking forward to this magical weekend with you & dear Stephan ~ thank you both so very much for organising such a special time for us all, we can't wait to see the enchanted places you have in store for us... *big smiles* Yay, the second EF Merry Meet, my wish has truly come true *Happy Be Dance* lalalalalalala!!
YIPPEE, what Wonderful news, the Return of the King! Such a blessed relief, I have been deeply concerned for both of you, my beloved friends. His majesty has been so brave & courageous, a bigger heart I have not met =) We Warmly Welcome Stephan Home with many magical mischiefs, broad smiles & a big *Happy Be Dance* in his honour. He set off to change the world, & in his absence we grew & discovered much about ourselves ~ just look at lovely you Cornish Fairy, keeping positive, creative & full of your pink bubbles, flying the fairy flag & keeping a light shining in the cottage window. Your loving support means that he can then champion all those beautiful bairns who truly need everything you so generously do for them ~ Thank you both for taking such special care of others in great want, & reminding us with enchanted grace that we can make a difference if we just take that first step...
thanks for your comment Liz. That painting took about 10 hours total I think. I don't pay too much attention to the time. I do some paintings that take about an hour, the longest I've ever spent I think is about 20 hours. I've been painting since I was 18. 22 years. So I can be pretty fast.
By the way, I already asked Amanda but I will ask you as well...I am going to visit Ireland for 8 days in february. Now, I understand you dont live there but perhaps you have gone there before and can tell me some places I must go see. I have felt a calling for Ireland for many years now. My mother believes I lived there in another life:-) And where else to hope for a faerie sighting..I am staying a few days in Galway since I feel called to there most. But any other places of note, please let me know.
Thanks again!
Thanks for the welcome, Liz. Im in Atlanta so thankfully we have not yet gotten the worst of any of the storms. Cross our fingers cuz I know there are three more storms headed my way!
Have a faerie blessed day!
Blessed be.

Hi fabulous liz, i think you are absolutely right. I am becomming a self fullfilling prophecy. I am turning into a real faerie . I can feel that in my very soul. But it takes a faerie to see a faerie for what She is. Your are wonderful

Just had to add....
Reading about your life in Cornwell is like wandering into a fairytale.... How rich and fulfilling and 'touched' by wonder. Even more wonderful is that you are so completely 'inside' of your life ... taking nothing for granted. I wonder does where we live make it more or less difficult to remain 'inside' and recognize the wonder? The times I've spent in Ireland it seemed so much easier to remain 'inside' of the moment. Here on Long Island, so much moves one away from moments of 'wonder'.... Which is not to say I don't keep trying!...Thanks for sharing your remarkable story, Liz
Blessed Be
Congratulations Lily! (looking forward to meeting you tomorrow!)
