The Strange Tale of the Helly Fairy.

Monday, February 15, 2010, 09:21 AM EST [General]

Here is the start of my new fairy tale I am writing.

THE STRANGE TALE of the HELLY FAIRY.

It is often stated that truth is stranger than fiction..Here is a fairy tale that will leave you, the reader, guessing.  I hope that by the conclusion there will be no doubt in your mind as to what is fact and what is fiction.

Many years ago in a faraway landknown as the Isle of Emeralds, A baby girl was born.  This was no ordinary baby as she had been a long , long time growing in her mother's womb.  In fact, this was the longest pregnancy ever recorded.  Neelie, the infant's mother, the infant's mother was so relieved when her much longed for child arrived into this world, four months late.

As the midwife placed the newborn carefully into her mother's arms, she looked lovingly at the screaming bundle.  Neelie instantly realised that this baby girl was very different from her siblings.  Yes, she had ten fingers, but hang on a minute her toes were eleven in number!  The desparate mother counted them again and again.  This baby definitely had eleven toes, six on her right foot and five on the left!

After getting over the shock, Neelie kissed her baby gently on her forehead when she noticed something strange about her ears.  They were perfectly formed, except the tips were very pointed and long.  They looked like antennae connecting to the heavens.

The midwife, who was the village wisewoman, smiled knowingly at mother and child.  "You know who she really is, don't you?"  She proceeded to explain to Neelie that her baby daughter wasn't from her husband, but was the daughter of the Dark Lord of the Universe.  At that moment a crow flew into the room and squawked with delight at the sight if this infant child.  "hail future Queen of the dark universe, I name you Helly the first of the Notlobs!"

    To be continued.....

    Fairy help required

Wednesday, February 10, 2010, 10:07 AM EST [General]

Fairy blessings to all here on Enchanted Folk.  It has been a while since I last posted on here, the Cornish Fairy has been busy looking after her family and her beautiful children in the orphanage.  For those who are new to this site, my family and I support an aids orphanage in Duncan Village in the Eatern Cape. SA.  www.projectprimrose.com .  Stephan, Lily, Lacey and myself shall be visiting again soon for Stephan to finish off the building work in the main house.  I am busy planning a surprisefairy party for the 96 children.  This is where you come in,  we need 96 pairs of fairy wings for the party.  If you could possibly donate a pair of fairy wings, please message me for details.  We need these wings within the next 2 to 3 weeks.

Please imagine 96 smiling faces on these kids who have absolutely nothing.  Without the selfless dedication of Violet and Pamela these children would not survive in the harsh reality of true poverty.  Talking of whom, if anyone has a spare tiara for these true fairygodmothers could they donate them?  We shall be holding this party either at the beach or maybe a wildlife park.  The press will as usual be invited to highlight their plight.  Can you just imagine the sight of 96 smiley children with fairy wings, a pure delight to melt anyone's heart!

Any fairy wings will be most gratefully accepted,  please help!

    Hi everyone,

It has been a few weeks since I last posted on here.  Since Lacey's birth I have been looking after my precious grandaughterWhilst Lily returned to college full time.  What a joy and what hardwork!!  Lily is now at college part time from this week as it was too much for her.  I shall now be a part time Amma!  I now have time to paint, write and feed my creative spirit once more.  I am definitely getting too old to look after babies full time!  I shall just enjoy being an Amma, at least now I can hand her over to her beautiful Mummy!

I am hand painting Christmas cards to raise much needed funds for Project Primrose.  The nursery is completely finished with the children all settled in.  It looks wonderful.  Alterations are now being done to the main house.  Our postman, here in Cornwall, has been out therehelping with the renovations.  Thanks, Tim.

Next Friday, we are hosting a dinner to raise funds to enable Pamela to enable to study for a Physchology degree at Harare Uni.

Sending you all abundant pink bubbles of love from a blustery, magical Cornwall.

    Magical blessings from Cornwall

Saturday, October 3, 2009, 03:58 PM EST [General]

I'm back on here where I belong on Enchanted Folk.  It has been quite a while since I last posted a blog.  Thank you to all of you who sent messages of congratulations on the birth of Lacey Elizabeth.  It has been a hectic seven weeks which have passed so very quickly!  Oh what a blessing to have a beautiful baby girl in the family.  Stephan and I were so blessed to witness her birth, along with Jamie and I was given the honour of cutting the cord!  We are now Amma and Grandolph to our grandaughter.  Lily is back at college resuming her studies to become a school teacher whilst I look after and play with Lacey.

I have missed being here sooo much, especially my darling Be!  I love you Be and hope we can meet up again soon.  I have started painting again, which is wonderful for me.  I am on the 2nd in a series named pink bubbles of love, dedicated of course to Lacey!  I am at long last, back living my passion of all things Fae.  How blessed am I!!!!  I need to write and create to remember these special events in my life.

    Faery Day.

Wednesday, June 24, 2009, 01:46 AM EST [General]

Today, Wednesday, 24th June, is Faery Day.  A day to honour the Fae and communicate with them.  I urge all you believers here on Enchanted Folk to spend time outside in nature communicating with these Guardians of the Earth.  Walk barefooted on the grass, take time to smell the flowers, hug a tree or just enjoy being outside feeling the Sun and gentle summer breeze on your skin.

Please remember to leave an offering for the Fae to celebratethis special day.  I am off to my favourite faery haunt, Luxylian Woods in my role as Cornish Fairy to keep the magic alive for all those who seek and believe.

I send pink bubbles of love to all believers and please post any encounters with the Fae here on EF.
