Greetings Friends-
Thanks for checking out my little fairy garden! My name is MayB and I design and create hand painted silk fairy wings. You can see my work in my photos here or check out my website at www.customfairywings.com or my Deviant Art gallery at http://customfairywings.deviantart.com. But I must admit, I haven't been able to fill andy wing orders lately as I had to turn my studio into a baby room for my little fairy, Evie. You can see her in my photos as the baby on the unicorn (don't worry I was holding her on, I just Photo Shopped myself out) and with me at the Ren Faire! Yeah, silk dyes and propane torches don't mix well with 1 year olds. However, every now and then a pair of wings does "pop" into existance. I'll post the pictures of wings I have ready to go later and we'll see if anyone is interested in "adopting" a pair!
My friends and I love dressing up as fairies and going to the New York Renaissance Faire in Tuxedo, NY! Maybe you've seen us? We're the ones decorating trees, handing out little gifts to people who extend us a small kindness and looking for other fairies! My friend Zoe (she's in my photos, too) and I make our own costumes and are always looking for excuses to dress up.
What better excuse to dress up than FAERIE CON! We made it to Faerie Con '08 and met a lot of our favorite fairy artists. Like Wendy and Toby Froud, Linda Ravenscroft, Renae Taylor and Jasmine Becket-Griffith (also see photos)! I hope we can make it next year and see Brian Froud.
Thanks for stopping by and allowing me to tell you a little about myself. So leave me a message and tell me a little about yourself!
Fairy Blessings
-MayB

Sounds like loads of fun... only wish I had transportation to make it possible. But who knows -- mayhap we can plan this as a Merry meet for those able to make the journey...
