Merry Meet! My name is DisneyScout. It comes from my love of nearly all things Disney and being very active in Girl Scouts (and to a lesser degree Cub Scouts). I think what initally captivated my interest in faeries was discovering Disney has revealed their is a secret faerie village called Pixie Hollow wherein Tinkerbell and her faerie friends reside. I fell in love with the first book and it's illustrations and have been looking for faeries ever since.

I am in my early 30's and am the mother of 4 wonderful little sprites. Miranda (girl - 12), Joshua (boy - 8), Ilea (girl - 4), Elijah (boy - 1). BTW, Ilea is pronounced Eye Lee Ah.

I went to my first Faerie Festival this past May in Upper Marlboro, MD. (www.marylandfaeriefestival.org). I also went to a gaming convention called GenCon this past August. (www.gencon.com) where I was pleased to find a role playing game called Faery's Tale. (See, faeries are everywhere!) I also met a fellow faerie through the GenCon forums and she and I have been chatting since. She is a seamstress faerie that makes amazing costumes, often from people's imaginations. She's taking a short break at the moment, but her website is www.pixiestitch.com. Isn't that adorable? I made a fire faerie costume for GenCon and enjoyed wearing it. So, I was hooked on letting my inner faerie show more often and attended FaerieCon! Now, I've been searching the Internet to see how often I can go to other faerie festivals. My daughters are hooked, too. :-D
