A Delightful idea Donna, many magical thank you's. We often blame the goblins here, in the Land of I Do Believe, for Anything that goes missing and they seem to be busy most days... Cheeky grin, Be

Donna, what a terrific idea and thanks for starting this group. When I walk in the woods, I see fairies. This has been true since childhood. It will be fun to learn about others' experiences.

I thought I would share this with you all. I hope it Bless's you in a way even as it did and continues to bless me. Mon Aug 13, 2007 I am finding thisjourney I'm on to be very exciting as well as taxing and sometime frustrating. Today I was working up on the east rim of the Black Canyon Putting in shrubs and such. Around 1:00 this afternoon I was placing a shrub for planting when I thought I heard a child laughing, I looked up and about 100 yards from me in the tree line were three children playing, now this kind of struck me as odd, as there are no children up there, and not far away was the most beautiful cougar I have seen in a lot of years, at first I was very alarmed and hollered to the kids to come to me. They kind of just acted like I was not there. Then the cat jumped up and ran towards the kids, I freaked, I grabbed the rock bar and took off towards the kids, as I got to where they had been, off in the trees I saw the kids on the cats back and still laughing. It then dawned on me that I was in the presence of the Fey, and I became aware of a peace that is still with me even as I type this, I have been truly blessed today.

Greetings to one and all, I just joined and found this group. I've posted a couple of pics of some faerie sightings in my photo album if anyone wants to take a look see. We have a very old lilac tree outside of my studio window and I always photograph my sculpts at the base of the tree. I have spotted several neat images on film. The pics are not doctored. They are only blown up to show detail. I had one encounter in my house. I have an old Seth Thomas carriage clock from the eighteen hundreds. It is doesn't work and hasn't for a long time. One day, the pendulum just started moving. Than it chimed. I walked over to it and asked...if there is a faerie in my clock, make it chime. It chimed and I almost fell on the floor. Wait, it gets better. My husband comes home. The pendulum has stopped and the clock is quiet. I asked the same question and sure enough IT CHIMED. It hasn't since. Trish

Jack Kerouac's Encounter with the ’Fairy Glees’ from his 1948 writing journals published recently in the book "Windblown World" Monday Jan. 5th – My first big workday of 1948– "And one more thing: during the night I lay down on my bed to muse (the dreamy musings that cushion the shock of cerebral creation): and all of a sudden I sensed the presence of all kinds of gleeful, little things around me, felt it so powerfully that the "gleeful little things" became almost real, corporeal, moth-shapes, whole swirls and hosts of them, all around me, I felt like Gulliver, with little things dancing gleefully all over me and around me, and more interesting: it seemed that these 'fairy glees' of our life were amazed with me because I had discovered them, because I had "turned my head and seen them," and in the simplicity of their little hearts, were pleased with me, loved me, danced around me, 'their champion and king,' were happy because I had seen them. And I just lay there grinning and enjoying their presence & homage. It was one of the loveliest and most poetic of fancies: and one more thing: I believe in these little things, I believe they exist, but only at certain wonderful gleeful moments." "If I were an Irish poet, a Celtic bard, I think I'd concentrate exclusively on these little 'fairy glees' of my heart."

This one is not my own encounter- but from someone who submitted it at Paranormal.About.com in 2004: paranormal.about.com/library/blstory_feb... Faery Friends by Marlene It was on the 22nd of June, 1999. I remember it so well. It was around 9 p.m. and I was outside under the growing moon. I was facing the east with my arms stretched up too the sky and I was asking for blesings for all the beautiful people upon Mother Earth. I turned around and looked up on top of the roof of the house, and there hovering about four feet above the tiles were two glowing lights! At first I was logically thinking, maybe it's a cobweb and is glowing under the moon's rays. But no, whatever it was was hovering up and down - both of these glowing light's! Suddennly, I had this feeling come over me that whatever it was wasn't bad but good. I held my left hand out (the hand too receive) and I said, "It's okay, you can come to me. I mean you no harm." The glowing balls of light hovered down. Then I could see quite clearly that they were faeries. The female one landed right on my left hand, and I could see there was a male faerie hovering just back from her about eight inches away! My feelings told me that these beautiful beings were there for me for a special reason. Just then my eldest daughter came running out the back door; she was having trouble getting the lid off something and needed help. They were scared away. They just dissapeared like that! I was taken aback with awe and wonder what I had just experienced. After my encounter, I did much research into faeries to learn all about them. I feel that these faeries have some connection with me now; I feel them close by even though they have not shown themselves again to me since this night. I leave them gifts.

This happened to me on May 31, 2008. I will never forget it, or the faery/brownie I met that day. Before this, I never was 100% sure if the Faerykind existed. I had heard that God has guardian angels assigned to all wild animals and plants- not just humans, so I kept an open mind. After meeting two Native American women who had very vivid experiences with the Faerykind, I decided to ask God if He would reveal to me one of His "Nature Guardians" as I call them. This prayer was in April so I forgot my prayer. Then on Memorial Day weekend, my sister and her family came over our home for Supper-- but our family gathering turned sour as my sister got into a huge fight with my father. She stormed out of the house and screamed profanities at him-- took my nephew with her and left. The atmosphere at home became depressive and I was depressed as I had that Monday off from work. I didnt want to be at home in that atmosphere. While I was in the bathroom that following Monday morning, I stared in my hair listlessly with the morning sunshine pouring through the window. Looking through sections of my hair while sadly daydreaming, I noticed a small light brown face looking at me with compassion and empathy through a section of my hair! I focused my eyes at her face in shock and saw this so otherworldly beautiful Being looking at me as though she was mirroring my sadness! I couldnt see her body- just her face, as my hair was blocking all of her but her face. She had soft smooth light cocoa skin-- flawless. Her eyes were tilted and long and almond shaped and wide set- They were totally all chocolate brown with no irises- but it's hard to explain- she did NOT look like those grey aliens.. She was definitely Faery. She had high cheekbones and high eyebrows-- very elegant looking. Her nose and mouth and chin were small and delicate. She looked very delicate. She had a sense of innocence and humility about her., as well as a peace and royalty-- like she was someone of position with her people maybe. She noticed that I was able to see her and she did have an uncomfortable shy look on her face after that, so she dissapeared but I still felt her presence there. I havnt seen her again since then but I feel her with me and I feel this bond with her . I leave out food and sweets for her and have bought miniature furniture and made Pixie homes for her and her people.. I have also put up a faery garden knowing now that Faeries actually DO exist after all. God answered my prayer-- I can't share my encounter with those in my church or religious friends as they are not open to this truth- but God may show them too one day if they are sincerely interested in asking Him. There is more to my encounter-- a week after I met this Being looking at me with love while on my hair, my attitude changed about Nature and the Environment. I made a point to transplant little maple tree saplings that sprung up in our yard, and I started picking up litter, etc. and generally tending to Nature as I feel we humans should be doing-- Now that I know faeries are real, I know they must be watching us. I even play my CD's for them now-- with the windows open. Well that morning before waking up from sleep, I heard a woman's voice singing these words to me: "You are helping the flower to seed; all things are precious" I woke right up from that and put it right in my journal. What a beautiful encouragement in loving all Creation-- all wild things, all things we take for granted are precious in God's eyes, and to the Faeries.. God Bless Lisa
