    Hi to all!

I thought it would be nice to share our experiences with faery. Any funny stories, sightings. Mischievious things they have got upto. Anything you like. Just a litle bit of fun. Hope you enjoy ;-)

A Delightful idea Donna, many magical thank you's.
We often blame the goblins here, in the Land of I Do Believe, for Anything that goes missing and they seem to be busy most days...
    Cheeky grin,

Donna, what a terrific idea and thanks for starting this group. When I walk in the woods, I see fairies. This has been true since childhood. It will be fun to learn about others' experiences.

I am finding thisjourney I'm on to be very exciting as well as taxing and sometime
frustrating. Today I was working up on the east rim of the Black Canyon
Putting in shrubs and such. Around 1:00 this afternoon I was placing a shrub for
planting when I thought I heard a child laughing, I looked up and
about 100 yards from me in the tree line were three children playing,
now this kind of struck me as odd, as there are no children up there,
and not far away was the most beautiful cougar I have seen in a lot
of years, at first I was very alarmed and hollered to the kids to
come to me. They kind of just acted like I was not there. Then the cat
jumped up and ran towards the kids, I freaked, I grabbed the rock bar
and took off towards the kids, as I got to where they had been, off
in the trees I saw the kids on the cats back and still laughing. It
then dawned on me that I was in the presence of the Fey, and I became
aware of a peace that is still with me even as I type this, I have
    been truly blessed today.

    Greetings to one and all,
I just joined and found this group. I've posted a couple of pics of some faerie sightings in my photo album if anyone wants to take a look see. We have a very old lilac tree outside of my studio window and I always photograph my sculpts at the base of the tree. I have spotted several neat images on film. The pics are not doctored. They are only blown up to show detail. I had one encounter in my house. I have an old Seth Thomas carriage clock from the eighteen hundreds. It is doesn't work and hasn't for a long time. One day, the pendulum just started moving. Than it chimed. I walked over to it and asked...if there is a faerie in my clock, make it chime. It chimed and I almost fell on the floor. Wait, it gets better. My husband comes home. The pendulum has stopped and the clock is quiet. I asked the same question and sure enough IT CHIMED. It hasn't since.

Jack Kerouac's Encounter with the ’Fairy Glees’ from his 1948 writing journals published recently in the book "Windblown World"

Monday Jan. 5th – My first big workday of 1948–

"And one more thing: during the night I lay down on my bed to muse (the dreamy musings that cushion the shock of cerebral creation): and all of a sudden I sensed the presence of all kinds of gleeful, little things around me, felt it so powerfully that the "gleeful little things" became almost real, corporeal, moth-shapes, whole swirls and hosts of them, all around me, I felt like Gulliver, with little things dancing gleefully all over me and around me, and more interesting: it seemed that these 'fairy glees' of our life were amazed with me because I had discovered them, because I had "turned my head and seen them," and in the simplicity of their little hearts, were pleased with me, loved me, danced around me, 'their champion and king,' were happy because I had seen them. And I just lay there grinning and enjoying their presence & homage. It was one of the loveliest and most poetic of fancies: and one more thing: I believe in these little things, I believe they exist, but only at certain wonderful gleeful moments."

"If I were an Irish poet, a Celtic bard, I think I'd concentrate exclusively on these little 'fairy glees' of my heart."
