Ahoy hoy! Well, I know I have neglected my blog here, but am here to update now! (FYI my regularly updated blog can be viewed at http://darkling_emily.livejournal.com). I have finished revamping my website...it has a whole new look, tons more art in the gallery, a bunch of new helpful, fun, and informative art links, a more in depth bio page... it's just so much better now...Much closer to the website I had in mind. A lot of work, but certainly worth it! So, I am asking all you wonderful magical folks to take a moment to drop by

I also have a beautiful new (ish) mermaid piece to share with you...

"Afterglow" is an original 8" x 10" mixed media collage based on canvasboard. She was drawn in archival inks on acid free paper, and other hand made papers, acrylic paint, varnish, and peacock feathers were used to create the background and details. (no mermaids or pea**** were harmed in the making of this fantasy art) :) One of my altime favorites for sure! I suppose I had better go and get some chores done and some art made...I am attempting to sew myself a new hand bag, but keep getting majorly distracted!! Ciao! ~Em
