I have some beautiful poppies in my garden that have finally bloomed, so I actually got some pictures:
I just love poppies. These are oriental poppies, not Flanders poppies (those are beautiful, too, as are the California poppies, which are not actually poppies but are named for their likeness). I love the mystique of the poppy, all the way from it's opiates to it's pop culture to it's appearance fragility but it's actual strength... Such a lovely plant.
Anyhoo, I am going out of town today until late Monday night. I always bring my laptop but sometimes I don't use it. So, I must get ready to go!
