I Need Help from my Fae Friends

Tuesday, March 18, 2008, 12:28 PM GMT [General]

I have entered a fae short story in a competition at www.authorvauthor.com and would really appreciate it if all my fae friends on this site could log in and rate it.

It is UK based and currently is at regional level. If it gets through then it goes further. Anyone around the world can vote as long as you select the BUCKS HERALD as the local sponsoring paper which will give access to the story.

    It is called FAERIES ARE...

Just to put in into context the story is background to the book I am working on and tells about the mother of the book's heroine.

Thank you, thank you to all who are willing to take the time to help me!!

    Hello to friends

Tuesday, March 4, 2008, 10:44 AM GMT [General]

Hello to all whom I haven't been in touch with for a while. Just to let you know I have been spending alot of time in Faelond which has kept me very busy of late. Having a break for a few weeks to write a short story - also based on Faelond - for a writing competition. I hope to get you all registered to vote on it when it is posted (UK based competition but voting can come from around the world.)

I've just hung crystals in my kitchen window and smile every morning as the rainbow teardrops dance around the room. It makes my day.

Does anyone else have something so small and simple give them daily, magical pleasure?

    I'd love to hear.

My Away Day With the Faeries

Sunday, October 21, 2007, 01:16 PM GMT [General]

    Hello All

I've just had my Away Day with the Faeries workshop in Glastonbury! It was very special.

First of all it was my first time in Glastonbury - like no other place on earth (I phoned my husband while walking on the High Street and said 'I wanted to let you know I'm walking in Diagon Alley!'. Magical. In a week I am going back for a full 6 days on my own to really explore.

Back to the faeries...we did several guided meditations and I not only met (and saw in my mind's eye) my Faery Guide (Leona) but also met my Faery Cousin (the faery linked to you by your birth surname) and she was called Bracca.

Leona is shy and didn't want to show me her face but I did see a long main of bushy (literally leaves) gold hair with a pointy ear. Bracca was black and white and when she was about the scenes were also monochrome. She had very pointy and sharp features and her hair was spiky and black with white ends.

We also did a meditation with a partner to help them with a problem or offer guidance and finally some fairy ring (group) meditations.

I met some extraordinary people and have sent them all links to this site so they may join us.

    Love to all

    Lovely Wicked

Saturday, September 15, 2007, 04:59 PM GMT [General]

Just finished reading Lovely Wicked by Melissa Marr. Has anyone else read it?  Faeries in a modern world - very compelling and dark.  If you like Brian Froud's art you can picture exactly what she is describing.
