Merry Meet Groups
Hello Faerie Friends, one & all!
I've been busy flying around Enchanted Folk, sprinkling invitations to join a new group I started today, but having underestimated just how much this cyber faery land has grown, my Little wings are tired & I need to rest! (so if I've missed you I appologise. Please forward the link below to anyone else you know who might be interested!)
The Group is called "UK Merry Meet". So if you are an EF member residing in the UK, Please take a look: www.enchantedfolk.com/ukmerrymeet
To our Enchanted friends all over the rest of this Earth, please know that you are not excluded from our thoughts. Hopefully you will take inspiration from the "Merry Meet" Groups already started, & build your own for your various corners of the world!
These will be wonderful communities within our EF community, and somewhere to share & encourage real meetings in person, so we all live in the magic in the 'real world' as well as on Enchanted Folk!
Faerie Blessings to you all,
Amanda

Did You Ever Want To Make A Difference?
Well Now You Can!
Hi everyone, I just wanted to bring your attention to The "Birthday Buddies" sceme on Project Primrose.
After going on there myself to pick a name off the list, which I have to say was very hard!(How do you choose one child over another!?!), as I'm not in a position to choose them all as I wish I could, I thought I'd post this to encourage everyone else to go there. If evryone who reads this picks just one name & encourages someone else to pick just one name, then I'm sure we could find a Birthday Buddy for every child on the list.
So come on ask yourself, did you ever want to make a difference? Now you realy can, a small gift & a heartfelt wish, just one day a year for one special child would make a world of difference to that child on their special day.
Please people, between us we can make this happen!
(Kudos to Stephan & Liz for setting this up!)
So go to Project Primrose, click on the "Birthday Buddies" flower, where you'll find all the information.

Treasure Hunt
Hi Everyone,
I've found myself in Spring cleaning mode over the Easter holidays, both physically & emotionally. The physical side was entertained by the re-decorating of my bathroom (a job which-as always!-took alot more work & time than expected!) The emotional side is a little more complicated. The proverbial "out with the old, in with the new" is difficult to apply when the old ups & leaves of its own accord without our willing it to do so. Some things are beyond our control or understanding, but we still have to find the strength to dust ourselves off & start again. So what do we do when we feel zapped of the energy to try?! Well, I went on a treasure hunt round my local nature reserve, armed with a good pair of wellies & my camera to recharge my inner batteries. What a wonderful morning I spent and well worth the mud & nettle stings!
(If you've had enough of reading, now would be a good time to skip ahead to my 'photography' gallery to see some of the Treasures I found!)
When I got there I asked the Fae to help me find certain things I realy wanted to photograph. These included; Bluebells(because I haven't seen any yet this year), Mushrooms/Toadstools, a Snail & a spider's web. After careful listening to the little whispers I was led away from the path and very soon found my 1st Bluebell!
So excited from my discovery I tried to quiet my thinking mind and listen to where the Faeries wanted to take me next. So glad that I'd worn my wellies, I waded through mud, climbed over old fallen trees and under low branches, taking pictures of new spring buds & leaves along the way. Then I was drawn towards an area overgrown with brambles & stinging nettles. I said to the Faeries, "please don't let me get prickled or stung, today I just want the good stuff". They swiftly replied, "that is the good stuff" & laughed at me! I didn't get the joke, but followed the route they told me to take, nearly having my boot sucked off of my foot where it got stuck in the mud! (making a very satisfying squelching sound as I retrieved it!!) When I got to the little opening, where I could finally stand without having to hold onto something, I couldn't see what it was I was meant to find. Then just as I turned to try & find my way back, I noticed these, hiding amongst the nettles, growing low to the ground on the side of a fallen tree trunk:
Having to get myself at aukward angles to try & get the shot, I got stung on the back of my finger, on the hand holding the camera ( more whispers of Faerie Laughter!) But what a great picture! I was so happy to find these timid little treasures that I realy didn't mind the sting. "See, the good stuff!" I hear, "Yes ok, I get it now! Very funny!" I couldn't help laughing along, which brought to my attention that I haven't forgotten how to laugh! (May sound silly to some, but when you've been feeling down, laughing is a real gift). I thanked the Faeries and followed their lead onto the next place. We crossed back onto the path ( where I subconciously noticed a new litter bin had been placed that wasn't there before; A nice one made of cut up little logs of wood so it didn't look out of place in its surroundings), and then back off it again, into the mud and bramble! I was wondering what I would find this time, my snail perhaps, or a pretty spider's web, then I noticed them. A big green plastic bottle & a small childrens juice one. The Faeries wanted me to pick them up and put them in the bin! Fair trade, I thought, as they'd shown me where to find what I was looking for.
I continued on with my walk in this way, (for far longer than I had planned to) feeling the companionship of the Fae & Nature itself, sharing with me its little treasures. Secret treasures that would be missed by so many of the people that passed by on the path, never stopping to take a closer look.
I want to share some of those with you here, so I have put them up in my photography gallery. Most of them are very close up shots of small & sometimes tiny subjects. Next time you are out on a walk, stop & get close and discover the intricate beauty in things that you perhaps wouldn't even notice from far away.

New Photo Gallery
Hello Dear Faerie Friends!
Firstly I would like to say thank you to everyone who has taken the time to view my work, I've only just noticed the little figure that shows the number of times each piece is viewed has gone over 1000 on all my pics! Though this may not seem a big thing to those of you who are used to cyberspace, for Me (who isn't!) I'm pretty amazed at the thought of so many people seeing my art!
As a Faerie of many creative pursuits, I have just uploaded a new Gallery displaying some of my Photography. I will display a couple of them here to give you a taster but please go to the Gallery to have a proper look and tell me what you think!
All of my Butterfly pictures were taken at The London Butterfly House in Syon Park, which has very sadly now closed down. It was truly one of my most favourite places to visit and I had been going there with my daughter since she was very young.
I am just so glad that I had the pleasure of photographing the many different varieties of beautiful butterflies (& moths!) so that I get to keep a little piece of it forever now that it's gone.
Thank you for looking! Please feel free to leave comments as feedback is always welcome.

This is a really lovely collection of butterfly and moth photos. You got some terrific shots. What a shame that place is gone. There is a butterfly house near me that I go to often. It is so peaceful to be with all those delicate creatures. Susan Schroder |

Faerie Crowns/Tiaras
Merry met Faerie friends!
Ok, so now I've got the hang of this blogging lark I thought I'd have a go at doing one with pictures! (sounds simple I hear you say but believe Me it's a big step for someone as inept as Me at talking "computer"!)
I thought I'd show you some of my Faerie Crowns/Tiaras I've been busy making and if anyone is interested in purchasing one (at a very reasonable price ofcourse!) please contact me.
These pretty Tiaras are light & comfortable to wear and suitable for any occasion, so whether you're going to a Faerie Party, Merry meet or you just need some extra sparkle on an ordinary day, these willl add a little touch of Faerie magic!
Forest Fae Tiara (perfect green for Spring!)
I can also make Bespoke designs to order (as simple or elaborate as you wish! (please see my "crafts" photos for examples of previous crowns I have made. That goes for the Male Faeries too! Crowns can be embellished with leaves & twigs and don't have to be all girly. I would't want you to think I'd left you out!).
Thank you for reading
