    Cornwall, (my spiritual home!)

    Monday, September 8, 2008, 03:30 PM GMT [General]

    Hi everyone,

    Finally got round to uploading my pics from my recent holiday in Beautiful Cornwall!

    I got back  just over a week ago but I still can't shake this feeling of homesickness since I left Cornwall to come home. I don't know if it's just that I've been going there since such a young age or if my affinity with the place runs deeper than that. My soul feels at home there.

    Many thanks to the wonderful Liz & Stephan for having us to stay at their lovely home. As soon as we arrived Liz took us 'beach shopping', which was a great start to our holiday! The weather was kind to us and I collected photographic treasures to go along with the shells & 'mermaid tears' my daughter gathered up.

    In the Evening Stephan took us all out to dinner at a great old Pirate pub/restaurant in Penzance called the Admiral Benbow:  (see the smuggler on the roof!)

    Good food and great atmosphere as the interior is decorated with nautical memoriabilia from local wrecks.

    The next morning Liz took us to the Enchanting Luxylian Woods;

     Where we played with the Fae (more photos of this magical place in my gallery)

    My Daughter & Me then met up with our family for the rest of our holiday and travelled to the north of Cornwall to stay near Bude. We went horse riding, braved the cold & went in the sea! And I spent some alone time doing alot of walking each day (which I now realy miss since being home!)

    There are more photos in my galleries if you'd like to see them, but I'll leave you with this one from a little place called Fairy Cross. I couldn't resist stopping as we drove through to take a photo to share with you all!

    Faerie Blessings to you all

    Busy busy!

    Thursday, August 21, 2008, 01:57 PM GMT [General]

    Hello Everyone,

    Firstly I appologise for not keeping my blogs up to date! It doesn't mean I forgot you all, I have still checked in daily (a true EFA! ) and done the rounds, sprinkling faerie dust on my way!

    The Tattoo Jam convention was a success, though the weekend didn't go how I'd planned. The two people I had arranged to work on for the competions both cancelled on me unfortunately, which was a bit stressful to say the least. But I do believe things happen for a reason, even if we don't know what those reasons are.

    I went for a calming walk on the beach to ease my nerves

    & found a willing (though somewhat hungover) volunteer to Tattoo on the Saturday for the competion,

    and was then busy Sunday doing Tattoos for anyone else who came along wanting them.

    Overall I realy enjoyed the weekend. It was extremely busy & I met some great people. I hope I get to do it all again next year!

    Today I am busy packing to go away for our Summer break. My Daughter & Me are going to stay with the lovely Liz & Stephan and then my parents, sister & nephew are joining us to spend a week in a different part of Cornwall. I haven't been down there for a couple of years & I can't wait!

    *The only thing is I'll be without my computer for over a week, how will I manage without my daily dose of EF!?!*

    Catch up with you all when I get back!

    Faerie Blessings,

    Amanda

    How it went at the State of the Art Tattoo Convention!

    Thursday, July 24, 2008, 12:11 PM GMT [General]

    Hi Everyone!

    Sorry I haven't done my usual rounds lately, I had an extremely busy weekend at the show!

    It was a good weekend, on saturday I completed a Tattoo on a regular customer of mine of his dogs:

    Which was entered in the "best black & grey small" category, and took 2nd place.

    Another regular customer of mine came along to the show & put her Tattoo in the "best colour small" category, and also took 2nd place with her Geisha Tattoo (completed at the studio);

    Then on the Sunday I Tattooed a very nice gentleman who volunteered his leg for one of my Faeries! The photo isn't great, but the Tattoo also took 2nd place in the "best completed at show" category;

    So no 1st's unfortunately, but not bad considering I haven't worked a show for a couple of years. And as we were all saying goodbye to leave, the Boss told us all to have a good rest as we're doing it all again in 2 weeks!

    So if any of you are in or around North Wales the weekend of 1st/2nd August and you like Body Art (or just wanna see me doing my thing!) come along to Tattoo Jam!

    Inky Faerie Blessings,

    Amanda

    Hi Everyone,

    Just a very quick post to say I will be working at the State of the Art Tattoo Convention in Derby this weekend. I'm looking forward to it as I missed the last couple of years but won 1st place awards at the previous couple that I worked at, so fingers crossed!

    Anyone who is in the area and likes body art please do come along & say hello!

    Wish me luck!
