unbelievable just where does time fly too? last thing i knew i'd got back from camping in cornwall ...now i'm planning where to go in july ...having had two fab weeks in wales in march- whats all that about....it seems that every time i go to sit down on the computer i get distracted by something else.
i've been working none stop since about late september - lots of new galleries wanting my work - unfortunatly all sale or return - but theres more chance of them selling in galleries than stuck in my studio. sadly 3 of the galleries i had work in have had to close recently due to the climate so i have an influx of work. typical though whenever i get an order for work you can guarentee its what i've just sent to a different gallery! Along with my faeries i have been making lots of different animals including- donkeys, sheep, pigs, dogs, cats, ducks etc - i even made some giraffes -they were fun to make.(look on the for sale page on my website to see some exaxmples www.karen-williams.co.uk ) i've also had fun making stained glass faeries & butterflies - & remarkably still have all my fingers!
At the moment i'm making a set of really big faeries - they are huge - about 4 foot tall -just spent 5 hours painting a faerie -many more hours left to go but i thought i'd better take a break as i was going cross eyed
anyway i guess i need to get back to painting....oh ok maybe 5 mins more to catch up to what everyones been up to ............

just got back from two weeks in cornwall...had a fantastic time - unfortunatly the weather was awful...only one sunny day ...there was just so much rain & wind ...so much so we had to buy a new tent as the wind was so strong it snapped the tent poles !!!....but as i said i had a great time seemed to spend the time wishing i lived by the sea in some quite & remote part of Cornwall...anyone want to do a house swap from cornwall to Nottingham?...no - thought not !!!

just finished a commission...of a budda something very different to I've made before...i really enjoyed making it , it was so different to what I've made before - thankfully the chap was very pleased with it - so much so that he hasn't put it in his garden but inside because he wants to be able to see it all the time ! - i thought that was a really nice compliment
off to cornwall for a couple of weeks at the weekend ....fingers crossed that the weather improves

feeling much happier now....I've picked myself up & its spurned me on to doing something positive...as I've said before I don't normally do shows - usually just selling my work via galleries , but I'm now doind two shows & a solo exhibition . The first is a arts & garden fesival where people open up their gardens for the public to see & in each garden there is also a artist displaying their work - I thought i would give this a go as it will display my work well, its at the end of May in a nice village not too far away,so hopefully the weather will have picked up by then . The 2nd show is a huge arts festival at Patchings farm at the begining of June so I'm really really busy making loads of new work - love being busy today is the 1st day I've taken off in weeks , & thats only because my wonderful dog Fraiser has donated blood again this morning. oh I'm sooooooooo proud of him....hes zonked out fast asleep on the sofa now he didn't even know he had had anything done - he had 3 nurses tickling his tummy so he just layed their & enjoyed all the attention

know i shouldn't but i feel grumpy today...yesterday I did a show at the 'all fools gathering' a pagan event....& I had no interest at all, I know i shouldn't take it personally but i put my heart & soul into my work & how ever hard I try i still feel 'rejected' - daft I know but ..... also i think the real reason I feel down is that today is the last day I'll see my very good friends as they are of to Australia to live
hopefully feel better tomorrow
