fraiser gave blood for the first time today....I'm just so proud of my dog - he was fantastic not a whimper out of him. When we got there they took a small amount of blood from his leg to check he was ok, gave him a quick check up, then it took about 5-10 mins to actually donate the blood. He had to lay on his side while they did it & stay still - which really isn't a problem with lurchers! he was very happy he had 3 vet nurses tickling his tummy so he was well pleased. After they'd done they gave him a bowl of food & a drink....like our tea & biscuits. He really didn't seem at all bothered so I'll take him to donate again.....what a fantastic boy![]()

Thank you Fraiser, we hope you enjoyed the extra nosh! Many years ago our old dog was going to need a transplant and until then I hadn't even realised that that was possible, what a great gift you both gave today...
BeIn appreciation - with an extra tickle to your tummy from us too! -
