fraiser gave blood for the first time today....I'm just so proud of my dog - he was fantastic not a whimper out of him. When we got there they took a small amount of blood from his leg to check he was ok, gave him a quick check up, then it took about 5-10 mins to actually donate the blood. He had to lay on his side while they did it & stay still - which really isn't a problem with lurchers! he was very happy he had 3 vet nurses tickling his tummy so he was well pleased. After they'd done they gave him a bowl of food & a drink....like our tea & biscuits. He really didn't seem at all bothered so I'll take him to donate again.....what a fantastic boy

oh my ...had a stressfull few days...was begining to think I was a total failure as a sculptor as I've only sold a few pieces all summer....to discover that I have in fact sold more - but my cheques from the galleries have gone 'missing' in the post...the royal mail have been less than useless - when I reported this to them they said that I must fill in a form to say when I haven't recieved something- i tried to explain to the chap that I couldn't report it missing if I didn't know I was going to get it...so he said the sender had to report it undelivered ...again I explained how do they know I haven't got it if they weren't expecting a reply - he couldn't help his only answers was filling in the forms aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaggggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!

so I've had to spend the morning ringing round galleries checking up - which I hate at the best of times - I just feel so awful asking people to check their records - but they've all been very understanding - but even so I hate having to put people out.

hope everyones enjoying the autumn weather, my hat had to come out yesterday as very chilly but this morning when I took Fraiser for a walk it was beautiful...nice blue sky & fresh crisp air....shame now all the grey clouds are rolling in I think I had the best of the weather this morning. Think I'll end now .... a cup of tea is beckoning - maybe the odd biscuit........

hi am i the only one ...i was looking through the site & everyone was a pirate...it was only after a few minutes that i realised that i had drifted onto a completely different site - set out the same as this one - but for pirates...not quite sure how i did it but it all seemed like fun !!!

ugh... monday morning ,usually I have no problems with Mondays as I absolutely love making my sculptures so work is more like play, & to be fair just because today is a monday has really not got anything to do with the ugh... I have just been ploughing through my 'books' - not done them since June so lots of different pieces of paper reciepts etc to follow up...plus having to ring galleries up to chase the money they owe me - all of which i hate. If i could wave a magic wand I would have some sort of agent who would sell my work on my behalf - yes I know in effect this is what galleries do - but I would love somebody who could contact retailers etc & get me orders & payment so I could spend my time making my work ....I expect that must be the same for everyone....- but if anyone knows of such a person PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me know.

I really do need to find many more outlets for my work  as at the moment i'm hoping people are physic & just know about my work!!! I have well over 100 pieces in galleries around the country all of which cost an awful lot of money to make, & until they sell I don't see a penny as its all sale or return....any body out there know how to approach retailers etc who might be interested in sculptures???? 

hope someone can help or i may soon be bald from all the hair pulling!!!

well remembered my camera this morning & as luck would have it after 5 mins of lovely sunshine a big grey cloud decided to join us on our walk...Still had a fantastic time & took over a hundred photos...mostly of trees & just when i thought i couldn't get a nicer photo of fraiser I do....the cows weren't paddling this morning just moo'ching around in there field..........
