    Faerylore in Iceland

Thursday, December 13, 2007, 04:43 PM EST [General]

I just wanted to share an article which shows that traditional lore is still alive and well in many parts of the world. In the Land of the Fairy King: Iceland’s Elf School is a fascinating, albeit brief, look at Faery in the lives of contemporary people.

    Hope you enjoy!

Facinating article. Thanks for posting it. I am curious as to where he gets the statics: 4% of Americans believe in hidden beings.

Does any one have any information on this?

Interesting article. So cool he has a school to attend and learn more.
Fascinating that even they highway dept. believe so much in the folklore that they moved the rock to save the little people's homes, over just building the highway and ignoring the rock and fairies/elves attached to it.
Been thinking of going there someday, when Iceland Air started offering no fare difference if you stop over in Iceland coming back or on your way to Europe from Canada. I mentioned it to my sister and she liked the idea too. We both love to discover new places...this sounds like a place for me!
