I live next to Grass Valley up in the Sierra Nevada foothills, famous for 49er days and Cornish tradition. Seeing your beautiful photos only makes me want to visit that part of the world someday... Enchanting.

Hello Julia, thank you for being part of the EF community, it's wonderful to have you & your lovely textile work here. Living near Stroud, there are many of the old crafts being revived locally - watching someone on a loom is mesmerising, you must really be connecting with those crafters from long ago & I am so grateful for special folk like yourself who enable the younger generations to keep in touch with our traditions. I wish you much joy with your studies at college, have fun!

    Admiring smiles,

delighted to meet you too. I'm so impressed you've got a loom! I'm from Paisley which was a big weaving town and grew up fascinated by the wonderful looms and beautiful Paisley Shawls in the museum.

    love Julia x
