[General]
I thought my subscription to Faerie Magazine ran out a couple months ago, but I was pleasantly surprised to find another issue in the mailbox the other day! Wee, the faeries knew I needed the love :)
...oh hum, I thought I had more to say than that! I guess not. Huh.
Until next time Lords and Ladies!
Five hours later..
HA! I do have something to update on. Oh goodie. So, in sketching and playing around today I discovered that a new member of my faery family chose to reveal herself to me today. I've had these six characters that I enjoy using constantly in my writings and such, but I've never actually had a real plot or description for any of them besides their physical and mental make up. After this though, I realized that my six girls are six faeries. The first one to step out into the open and point me down the right path was the second oldest named, Kira. My newest photo in my gallery is an unfinished portrait of her. Yay! I know what to do with my girls now!
I use the word "awesome" a lot....huh. ANYWAY, after enhancing/cropping/uploading/typing descriptions for the past two days, I finally have all my Faerie Worlds pictures up! Yay!

I attended my first Faerie World Festival this past weekend and loved it! Loved every minute of it and can't wait to go back to it next year. This time though, I would NOT procrastinate with my outfits and I would spend more time, like a couple months, putting every ounce of love into my outfits. I'm thinking next year I want to go as a gelfling. Not as Kira, but as a pre-garthim wars gelfling because I think that would be fun and I've always wanted to be one :)
I also really, really want to learn to walk on stilts after seeing some of the amazing costumes using them. The was one that I saw where, for a moment, I thought the woman was a landstrider, but then I realized she wasa unicorn. I don't know what it is, but just seeing someone walking on stilts like a landstrider is very beautiful to me and I'd like to do that myself. Speaking of beauty, the dancing was wonderful to watch. Next year though, I'm actually going to join in the dance. My down fall is that I'm so shy that I can't go up to people and make friends because I'm a little afraid of people, but now that I know the people going are so amazing, I'm going to push myself to open up next time.
There were so many amazing things that I can't remember all of them, but one MAJOR, major thing for me was seeing/meeting the Frouds. I wish I had been able to say more to them and I wish I could have held a conversation with them like others had, but when I asked them to sign things and I was standing right in front of them....I froze. I mean, I have idolized this family my entire life and there they are, standing two feet in front of me! UGH. Damn me and my being shy!
I have a family of four riding in my car with me to the festival! :D
My only "worry" now is a little extra money. I'm now looking into selling some of the many pieces of jewelry I made in the past year. Last time I counted, I have 51 necklaces and 40 earrings to sell so...yeah. I'm looking into an etsy account or something along those lines. I actually just finished a commission, come to think of it.
ANYWAY. I still have a couple tiny little things to fix on my outfits ( heh..I have to MAKE a pair of wings ) and then I'm all set. Just a couple little accessories here and there and my faery clothes will be perfect :D
Mk, so this little faery has a way to the festival and she's wondering if anyone else is in need of a ride?
Details:
I'll be leaving for the festival July 31st and starting my trek back home August 4th. I'm coming from San Ramon California ( 45 minutes south east of San Francisco), so if you're on the way, I'll make a pit stop and pick you up, or you could meet me half way. Either option works for me :)
Gas prices being what they are, I do ask that you donate $82 to the gas fund. I've done the math, and it's pretty much I buy a tank, you buy a tank, which I think is fair enough.
If anyone is interested, leave me a comment or to talk things out with me, my e-mail is shirefairy@sbcglobal.net.
