What Faery Means to my Heart 

first off, they are not all just cute, shapely, naked girls flitting about...they can be nasty and cruel, or silly and meddlesome, or handsome and warrior-like, or sad and crunchy...Faery defies definition...it is neither this, nor that...here, nor there....Faery is in your heart as well as your backyard...The world of Faerie is large, expansive, and Alive. As you begin to pay attention you realize that even tho you may not see the world of Faerie with your eyes that it is indeed all around you, and even further, it is perhaps more aware of you ... than you of it....for it does indeed see us.

I know I am a faery who agreed to come here to Earth at this time...My Humanity made more sense with this realization. I have been living as a conscious Human/Faery since '97 when a freind brought to my realization something of deep fascination...He said, "My parents always told me to believe in Faeries, and Elves and Gnomes; and I have always wondered why I never say them: then I met you and realized that I just haven't noticed." It was then that a deep honoring set up home in my heart....It was then that my path in this life began to sparkle with pixie dust and my life has become even more blessed.

The way of Faery hasn't been all fun and games....sometimes it is....but fun and games are only part of the picture with faery. For me, Faery has been about learning to fly in spirit and wearing my inside light on the outside (faery dust) ...it has also been about learnig to ground and become one with nature and the Earth. I like to think of my being as a Tree...so much that you see grows in the light and bears blossoms and fruit and leaves...but so much equally grows where you don't see...deep down in the dark are the roots that keep us anchored...here is where the real magic takes place...just out of sight from the eyes...but well within the sight of the core, the heart, the true place of being in your being.

Faerie teaches me to look further, to gain new perspective, to shift the degrees of my perception...Faerie is a gift to humanity....It reminds us to think big while we think small, it reminds us that our light shines brightest in the darkest of places, and it reminds us that the greatest joy belongs to those with a simple heart.
