About Me: My name is Hayley Hosken and I am a 26 year old Fantasy artist and reside in Cornwall in the UK. I live with my beautiful six year old daughter, nicknamed 'elf'. I laugh all the time and can find something funny in almost anything. That's one of my better qualities. My close family and friends think that i'm nuts, which isn't such a bad thing,i'd rather be a little on the nutty side, than boring. That's where my art comes in, I spend most of my time wondering my imagination and living in a daydream because that's where I am most happiest....make believe...perhaps i've spent too much time there, haha.

I embarked on my Fantasy art career only 3 months ago and it's a struggle. People don't seem to take me seriously.
But i'm not giving up, I have a passion for what I do and believe in myself. You can do it girl!!! If you want something bad enough, and you work for it hard enough, you can achieve anything. Well thats me in a nutshell.... Sort of,lol.

Dislikes: Anything ugly, mean or cruel. Being in large crowds, nasty smells, haha. I dislike being taken for granted!
Hobbies: drawing, painting etc etc, you get the point. Love chilling out at the end of a stressful day, with a blanket, hot cuppa and watching a great film with my daughter and getting away from it all. I enjoy Palm reading and Tarot reading.
Vices: Worrying too much, too eager to please and Chocolate.(mmm)
Heroes: first and most importantly, my mum (my best friend) Jacquie Hosken who I admire and love more than anyone. As with everything in life there has to be a balance

    Wednesday, March 31, 2010, 5:18 AM [General]

This is true! Things have improved slowly and so moving in the right direction, I cannot believe how quickly things can change. Everything seems to be balancing out nicely and I am enjoying this spell of good luck.

I have embraced and accepted what life has thrown my way and just went with the flow and now the wheels of fortune are slowly turning and I can relax and enjoy! No I havn't won the lottery, I am just greatful for small mercies and enjoying my life for what it is.

If anyone here is experiencing hard times, a spout of bad luck then fear not! Remember that life is one big experience,a huge lesson, the key in this life is 'acceptance', accept what life has to offer, deal with it the best way that you can and ride out the storm, because as with everything in life, nothing stays the same forever.

The seasons change, winter to summer, it shines after it rains, day turns to night and so on. Opposites attract and the wheel of fortune will keep on turning! Patience! Have faith that things will eventually turn out right in the end, it's just a matter of time.

Happy Easter to each and everyone of you enchanted folk

Whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger....right?

    Monday, February 1, 2010, 5:37 PM [General]

Well you all know the saying 'what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger right? .... Well it's kinda getting old now and i'm getting bored with it! How strong do I need to be?....... I mean I shud be as hard as nails by now, lol. I'm still hopeful and being positive, but give me a break.   It's probally just one of those days, ha ha, more like Groundhog day.

Yeah I know, Life has it's ups and downs, but it's unnatural to be as unlucky as me, arghhhhhh, I have to laugh to myself quietly just to stop me from going insane. Here is a quick poem I wrote a few years back.

'It feels like my world is ending, Crashing beneath my feet,

No more does life have a purpose, No more do the flowers smell sweet,

I Spend all my time feeling lonely, Happy days are but a few,

Walking around in a daydream, Spending my days feeling blue'

This is just a little verse from a poem I wrote about 5 years ago, yeah it's not the greatest poem ever written, but it made alot of sense at the time and kinda represents how i'm feeling right now, so..... I'm gona shake all that negativity off and chin up!! Sorry to depress you.

It has been real strange weather here in Cornwall lately, one minute it's sunny, then haevy rain, then snow and hailstone's the size of your fist!! A 5 minute walk to the school this morning, took a good half an hour! It was like walking on glass and lost count of the amount of times I nearly went down, to my daughters delight however, bless...... people thought I was mad when I suggested they wear socks over their shoes..... you know to stop them from slipping! They thought I was suggesting a new fashion trend or sumin,ha ha (if only they knew lol,.... i'm joking ) anyway this was just a quick one, hope all you EF members are well and having better luck than me. speak soon x x x

Believe me there are others who suffer one setback after another and feel this way a lot. I am one of them. It is very hard to pick yourself up again and say to yourself "I am not some divine entity's darn trash heap, I am me and I will not let this get me down!" Be defiant of all the negativity and be determined to use the creative gifts you have to plunge forward. That's what I do and it works. No one can help you but you. If you don't do anything positive, life will whiz by and trample you. (Jinkies do I ever know that truth well.) Try to stay positive, it isn't easy I know. Blessed Be!

Hey f.a. hayley! I sure hope you're feeling a little better now that Tommy took on your blues! I was feeling a little blue myself today....I know how it can be. Any musicians out there? Because I think your poem could definitely be turned into an awesome tune! Just remember: this is a tough world to inhabit. No Joke. I'm always amazed at the real heroism, strength and depth of courage of anyone who just keeps on putting one foot in front of the other...even people with socks on OVER their shoes! You should be proud of yourself!

Dear F.A. Hayley, I'm pretty well and I'm glad you're feeling better, too. I've been so busy with so many different sorts of things that I'm a little dizzy! I wish I could give full time to creative endeavor....and forget the rest! Maybe someday! I know a lot of us on EF feel that way. You, too, I'll bet. Cheers!
