I was so excited when I found this community. I joined immediately.

I am originally from Northern VA...near Washington, D.C. I moved to West Virginia in 2005. I met my wonderful husband at a local Mexican restaurant. that same year. I fell for the guy on bike :-) We were married on May 5, 2007.

In March of 2007 I was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and given 3 months to live. After years of blood transfusions and terrible exhaustion and passing out, the right doctor finally came to me in the ER one night and found out what I was exactly going through. I received my ICD, implantable cardioverter-defibrillator, to keep my heart beating. It's a pace-maker and defibrillator. I am so grateful and now have a strong heart and grateful for every beat I have.

My husband and I are owned by my 15 year old son, his 17 year old daughter, 4 dogs and 5 cats. Never a dull moment!
