    FaeryCats Return for Halloween!

Wednesday, October 21, 2009, 08:40 PM GMT [General]

    Greetings everyone!

Wow what an eventful week it has been! I went for a second glucose tolerance test on Friday which thankfully came back negative, so got the all clear for my home birth, hurrah! And on Sunday I passed the 37 week mark, meaning I can DEFINITELY have my home birth now - yay! Well, unless baby decides not to come out and I have to be induced, but here's hoping!

The birthing pool arrived today, so no doubt will have fun this week setting it up for a trial run! Heaven knows how our water tank and boiler are going to cope, it is the equivalent of filling four baths... eep! The house is starting to resemble a chemist, we have pethedene, vitamin K, plus cylinders of gas and air!

But anyway, after all that excitement, I finally managed to get back to my FaeryCats, and have a lovely range of Halloween goodies up for sale on eBay now! I have launched the FaeryCat Charms range with a Halloween theme - there are magnets, brooches, keyrings and pendants.

Plus I have also released a brand new limited edition figurine called Spook!

Complete with Pumpkin Jack, he is limited to just 5 figurines, each one individually handmade without the use of molds.

Please click HERE to view all the goodies on eBay! The FaeryCat charms will also be on Etsy shortly, you will be able to view them HERE. If they're not yet up, check back later!

    Hugs and Blessings everyone!

Less than a month til Bumplet's Arrival!

Wednesday, October 14, 2009, 01:12 PM GMT [General]

    Hi everyone!

Gosh have just realised I have not yet finished my Cornish Adventures on here - I will have to do something about that later in the week! Got to tell you all about Tintagel yet :o)

Well it is less than a month to go to the due date of Bumplet's arrival - although of course he or she may appear sooner or later than that! Am 36 weeks + 3 at the mo, on Sunday I will be 37 weeks and officially able to have a home water birth - yay! Or at least I hope so - have had glucose in my sample the last couple of weeks so have got to have another GTT (glocose tolerance test) to rule out gestational diabetes (a type of diabetes that only happens in pregnant women and goes away after the birth). Hopefully it will be clear, keeping fingers crossed as otherwise I will be put in the higher risk category and will probably have to give up my lovely home birth :o( It's not serious serious but can lead to complications such as the blood sugar level in the baby and baby being larger than normal due to the sugar etc. Please send me lots of luck for Friday's test!!!! Thank you :o)

Other than that, feeling pretty good apart from general tiredness (sometimes get broken sleep), the odd bout of leg cramp, and good old heartburn on a daily basis as baby starts engaging, has less room and keeps wriggling about! :o)

Have kept busy with some crafting, been making some Samhain cards and FaeryCat jewellery so will post them here later in the week. I opened an Etsy store too so will have some of the items on there as well as eBay. Have also made a few shrines, some of which are for Samhain, so will have these posted on here asap too!

For now, hugs and faerie sparkles!

EF Northwest Merry Meet Enchanted Tea Party

Tuesday, October 6, 2009, 05:28 PM GMT [General]

Faerie sparkles everyone! Sorry I have not posted this sooner, but here is a piccie of myself and Kate from our Northwest Merry Meet back on the 21st September!

Unfortunately not everyone could attend, for varying reasons, but we were all here in spirit! Despite the inevitable Cheshire rain, we had a lovely day and a faerie cream tea!

At 5pm we raised a glass to all our Enchanted friends and wished EF a happy second birthday! We also sent healing love to Shayleah, who sadly was grounded back home in Canada under strict instructions from the doctor not to fly. Missed having you here lots but look forward to seeing you in 2010 sweetie!

    Faerie Blessings to all xxxxx

    Enchanted Folk Northwest Merry Meet!

Wednesday, September 2, 2009, 12:03 PM GMT [General]

    Hello everyone!

I am honoured and delighted to be hosting the Enchanted Folk Northwest Merry Meet! Thank you to Be for helping me to arrange this!!

In honour of Shayleah coming to visit from Canada, and to celebrate both the Autumn Equinox and EF's 2nd birthday, we will be meeting for an enchanted Fairy Tea Party on 21st September.

The plan is to meet at Pontcysyllte Aqueduct in North Wales at 2pm for a stroll across the aqueduct (amazing views!) and then underneath it, where a magical faerie walk along the River Dee can be found!

Alternatively, if the weather is absolutely dire, we shall instead have a peruse of Chester, with its beautiful historic rows, Gothic church ruins and Roman ampitheatre! However when I went to get these photos from my iphoto album I discovered that spookily enough, the day that I visited the aqueduct last year was... 21st September!!! As you can see the weather was glorious, so hopefully it will be repeated this year!!

There is a pub near to the aqueduct with plenty of parking for access to the walk, details to follow. And for those of us who are hopeless at Welsh, the aqueduct is pronounced "pont-ker-suth-tee"!

Afterwards everyone is invited back to my humble abode for a fairy high tea!

My fiance John and I look forward to welcoming our enchanted friends to our Merry Meet, along with Shayleah, Be and Drew!

If you would like to attend you will be most welcome! Please get in touch with me as soon as possible so that I know how much tea to prepare ;o) and can send you address details, telephone numbers etc to co-ordinate the day.

We are located in the Ellesmere Port area in a little town called Great Sutton, which is around 7 miles from Chester. The aqueduct is about 20 minutes away from us in North Wales. If you'd like further info as to whereabouts the locations just message me on here!

    Brightest Blessings dear friends! xxx
