I'am a Faerie and Fantasy artist, jeweller, cabinet maker and woodcarver, based in the UK. The Spirit of Orm Awakens

Well i've finished another piece of work, this is called The Spirit of Orm Awakens, she is a Queen of Dragons emerging,resurrected from her burial tomb. A little reference to spring time. The name Orm was a Nordic name for Dragons, The scarab beetle from ancient Egypt and the spirals are symbols of rebirth. the green halo around her represents the Green Eye of The Dragon opening after a long sleep

Welcome to EF, David, You're art is very magical and beautifully done. You're very talented. . I paint with acrylics also, but on a fine grained portrait canvas. That way I can paint very large if I have to, since sometimes I put many details in a piece. I find it difficult to paint in a small size. Stay well, and keep up the wonderful work! Best wishes, Judy
