About Me:My name is Angelia Doyle, and I am a part-time costumer with designs of taking over the world. My own personal Weapon of Mass Distraction: Fairy Wings! Hey, a girl can dream can’t she? Although, I did learn the hard way *not* to use the phrase ‘Evil Diabolical Plan’ on my resume. Lesson learned.

I have an extraordinary friend….her name is eve (yes, that’s a lower case “e”)….but there are those of us who know her by another name:Fairy Nana. This beautiful lady makes some of the most exquisite fairy costumes I have ever had the pleasure to see which should be enough to set her apart from other designers, but there’s something else:she’s nearly blind. My loving friend suffers from both lupus and MS, and even though she is in pain most of the time, she pours so much of herself into each of her costumes.
As if all that weren’t enough, she also has the biggest heart of any person I know. This year, she set a goal for herself to make 50 fairy costumes to donate to the children’s hospital near Lacey, WA….and she did it.She is such an inspiration to me, and obviously to the good people at the KING5 television station.eve’s story ran last night on their Evening Magazine. You can see her touching story (and that of the children whose lives she brightens), in her own words, here:
Now, what can you do to help?It is eve’s goal to bring her message of helping children in need to a larger stage. If you would, please, take a moment to drop a line to the Oprah show (www.oprah.com/ord/plugfor...) as this is one of eve’s ultimate goals. The more voices we have singing the same chorus, the more loudly eve will be heard!
Due to her health issues, eve’s time is running out, and I want to do everything I can to help her reach for the stars! Please help me to spread her story and inspiration!
Hi, I watched this at faeriefashion livejournal a couple days ago and it made me cry. Your friend eve is so wonderful! She sure does some wonderful things!
Finally, after waiting for two whole weeks and after stalking various Barnes and Noble and Borders book stores (they must think I'm some sort of weird magazine lunatic), my Faerie Magazine has arrived!!
I'm so excited to see the photo spread, and I'm so honored and privileged to be counted amongst artists such as Renae Taylor and Angela Jarman. These ladies have been an inspiration to me for quite some time now.
I was also excited to see that the ad I placed looked far better in print than it did on screen. Now, it will be interesting to see if it generates any traffic to my website.
Oh, by the way, I'll still be stalking the magazine aisles of Barnes and Noble and Borders....after all, I need to keep up appearances....oh, and ummm, get some more copies of the magazine, too.
YAY! I got my copy of the magazine at FaerieWorlds....I thought I recognized those wings, but it didn't click until I saw your post! :) Congrats my friend! I hope to grace those pages too someday! :)
Your wings are absolutely amazing. I love the details and the dimension they add. Congratulations on your spread! I'll be picking up my copy of the new Faerie mag ASAP and maybe I'll see Angelia wings at Faeriecon even if you can't be there.
There are supposed to be photos of my work posted with the interview, but they aren't showing for me and a few others who have taken a peek. I've contacted the editors, and they are working on the problem.
Interesting -- this is what showed up when I clicked on the link:
The link you are trying to visit has been disabled.
You have reached a link that is no longer in service. That means the link was very naughty, and, much like head lice, had to be eliminated before it spread.
You may be asking yourself, "Hey, what was it about that link that got it in trouble?" An excellent question! Usually, it's one of the following reasons:
- The link was spam! No one likes spammers, and we don't like their links.
- You almost got phished! There are people out there who want to steal your MySpace password. They want to log in as you and send spam, harass your friends, change your profile, and generally run amok. Phishing pages are usually designed to look like MySpace to trick you. Other sites may also ask for your MySpace login information to customize your profile, insert videos or slide shows, track visitors, or any number of other things. Don't make it easy for them. ONLY USE YOUR MYSPACE LOGIN INFO ON WWW.MYSPACE.COM!!
- Viruses are not fun! Neither is adware, spyware, or malware. We cut the links to places that are known sources of infection.
If you really did want to check out some spam, viruses, or phishing pages, we're really sorry to have interrupted. We're sure you can find it elsewhere. There's plenty on the Internet
Do please hurry along to see them (skipping and singing we feel would be appropriate - or at least squirming with joy in your seat a little...) before it sells out!
