About Me:I have a jewelry business & work out of my home so that I can stay home with my 4 awesome boys.
I sell at an artisans/growers market, at arts & crafts shows and online on my website Gaia's Gifts at www.gaiasjewelry.com.
I love working with crystals and natural stones, they talk to me. It feels so good to pull out my beads and run them through my fingers, to play with them & feel their energy. Making jewelry is calming & a way for me to decompress, it takes away the troubles & stress of daily life with a house full of boys. I keep crystals and found stones all over my studio. I used to have a much larger collection of stones & crystals but a huge bag got left behind one day...I guess it was time for them to move on. There is a little bit of magic in all my jewelry, I can't help it. I meditate when I make my jewelry...it just happens, & I think about each piece finding its happy home with some one who will find joy in what I have made. Its a positive energy that makes a person smile when they wear it, it makes them feel good. Anyways, my jewelry is more than just pretty beads, its something special that I just can't always come up with words to explain.
My husband & I have been remodeling our house for 5 years with no end in sight. Our kids keep getting bigger & we are running out of space to put them & their things. We have now had to start a 2 story addition on the back of our house to hold the whole family!

My 5 month old had his second of 3 open heart surgeries a few weeks
ago. He is home & doing well :) Aside from being a bit cranky &
no longer sleeping through the night you would never know that he just
had surgery. Babies are so resiliant it is amazing!
Now I am
trying to catch up with so many things...like life mostly. I have my
biggest show of the year coming up in 1 1/2 weeks & I am hardly
prepaired for it, but hopefuly I will kick butt & have another great
show!
I took this picture a few days before his surgery...it is too cute not to share :)
I haven't spent much time online lately. In the beginning of May my baby was born with a Congentital Heart Defect & had to have his first of 3 Open Heart Surgeries. It was pretty scary for a while. He was in the hospital almost a month. I was updating my friends and family from my livejournal site:
Echoing Amanda, I wish his spirit strong, hoping he chooses to stay here with us. Perhaps he only made a little error in loving your warmth so much, that he gave too much of his heart to you.
Here's to hoping he takes a little back! (Stay strong for your brothers & family, little one... :^)
Magical Blessings on all of you & congratulations on such a gorgeous little boy. Thank you so much for sharing your news with us here, dear one, our hearts are with you through the next steps on Owain's special journey ~ we send you strength, courage & much love these next few months, he is an enchanted chap indeed =)

[General]
I guess I have been neglecting my journal here for a few months & I was just informed that I never told anyone I was having another baby. I was talking to my friend Shane the other day and I sure thought that he knew I was having another baby, but nope. I forgot to mention it to lots of my long distant friends and I didn't post it here. I have to admit that I am amused by the fact that Shane acted like he knew what I was talking about & I think it is pretty sweet that he decided to take on the roll of the flaky friend when it was me who was being forgetful. In my defense though I do get to be a bit scatterbrained when I am pregnant.
So for those of you who don't know this yet I am pregnant with baby number 4! Holy Moly!
And for those who should have known by now I am sorry! LOL!
I am just about 7 1/2 months, so I guess I have been a bit busy as well as scatterbrained. There were a few occasions that I thought that I was loosing the baby so we wanted to wait until I was well into my third month to tell every one and then I guess I got busy with my holiday shows and forgot to tell everyone.
So anyways there is the latest update in my already hectic life. We had just figured out how to fit the three young ones that we have already comfortably into our home when we found out. Our 4.5 year home remodel is just about finished up & now we have really outgrown our little home. We have designed several additions for our house & I think that we may have come to a decision...maybe, heehee. I think I am driving my husband crazy with all the changes. The nice thing about the addition is that I get a new studio...yippie...that will be big enough for all of my supplies and my kiln, glass & tools.
I usually surf the web or go through wonderful boards like this one looking for artists, artisans & crafters to exchange links with. My link pages are pretty much a huge list of sites I have come across & need a place to store them so I don't forget about them or loose them.
Since I am feeling a bit under the weather & lazy I will just ask for link exchange here instead of sending out personal emails for the request. Lots of times emails get lost in spam folders & over looked.
There is some weird glitch that has disorganized a few of the links on the main page & I am trying to get that figured out, all the catagories are all where they should be though. It really drives me crazy...just a touch of OCD, but I will eventually get the main page straigtened out.
So just a few simple guidelines for my link page nothing too major:
Your site has to be fairy, fantasy, pagan, veggie, organic, holistic, (you get the picture) and all items that you have for sale must be handmade by you. No resell sites. If you follow the link above to my link pages you can see all the catagories. Your site has to truely be family friendly, tastful nudity is fine, if it is over the top I will not be able to add your link. Also, I am very sorry to say that I do not accept other jewelers unless they are close & personal friends...I am trying to feed my family & don't really have it in me to advertise for the competition, but I do have a TopSite list that jewelers can join called Enchanted Realm & Artisans Gallery
We all know that good link exchanges help our websites & I have to admit I have followed links after links after links & found some wonderful sites with out ever having to do a Google search. So leave me a comment, or send me a message with your web address & we can do a link exchange.
Congratulations dear Hazel, what wonderful news my friend and thank you for sharing with us here ~ wishing you a bit of extra rest maybe this Spring in readiness *big smiles* I think of you and darling Owain often and hope your dear chap is growing in strength,

Hi there , fellow folk of the enchanted space in heart and mind , thanx much for the friend ship .... Interesting variety in musical taste , you must have an enchanted ear for musical sounds .
Your little on is absolutely gorgeous and a real little fighter. He will soon bounce back, it is amazing how quickly people recover after open heart surgery. I speak from experience as my darling husband has had 3 open heart surgeries, the 1st and 2nd when he was 25 and 3rd 5 years ago.
This is too cute! Were you making faces at him? How did he come up with this?
