I've almost burnt through my second day off, and *whew*. Granted, I've accomplished a lot, but I still feel like I could use a few more days before I'm *really* caught up.
Yesterday I finished up my custom orders, caught up with more customers putting in requests for vials (told them the new upfront fee for specialty custom orders), and updated my shop and DeviantArt a *little*. I also got out in the garden and gave it the attention it deserves! Not only weeded and watered and harvested, but really got in there and *cleaned* all the pavement off, pulled down as much of the mosquito-breeding weed-vine on the back fence as possible, and got it all nice for company!
Yes, I know, I just sent my last visitor back to Mississippi, but a friend of mine from Iron Fairies and her husband are coming over tonight for diner. They haven't lived here for even a year, and miss the food of the south; so I offered to cook them a roasted chicken, with Dreamland BBQ sauce, a peach cobbler and fresh sweet iced tea!
I've got the chicken brining in the sink, and will start in earnest after I finish this update!
Today was running to the P.O. to mail off orders, and finish updating Izile's Oddities on Etsy and DeviantArt. I've got some new products. I've started recycling glass containers bound for the trash and using them to make new products. If you look at my etsy shop, you'll see there's a new section called, "Izile's Experiments." This is born from the incredible boom from my garden. So far, I've got a sample of a Tropical sugar scrub (pineapple sage and lime oil), and I just made my first full sized (8 oz) jar of Chocolate Mint - Vanilla Sugar scrub. I've also got two anointing oils in 10ml bottles up, too: Fairy and Dragon. They're made the same way as my vials, with gemstones (not gemstone beads!) and herbs from my garden.
I'm also looking into learning how to possibly make other herbal concotions while my garden is flourishing like kudzu.
So, check things out, let me know what you think - particularly about my experiments - they're testers, concepts, and any feedback or input is welcome!
Now, to cleaning the apartment!
*hugs for all*

Addendum: somehow got to talking about ex-b/fs at work yesterday. *sighs* I ended up punching a cast iron stove, and slightly scaring a co-worker as I apparently "growled" "but I'm not bitter."
Izilenearing 2 years since I left the abuser and 6 months since the mind****er broke my heart.
Sometimes I wish I could spontaneously combust, just like a phoenix, and burn down the old world in my rising wake. And I don't mean that metaphorically. *sighs*
