Fae greetings
Once again I have left it far too long posting here. I am pleased to say I am now well and truly over my surgery, I was even able to do some tidying in the garden at the weekend. Got a follow up appointment this friday then all being well I won't have to go back. I was off work for 7 weeks recovering and have now been back at work for 7 weeks, so the op seems a long time ago.
I went to one of my favourite places, Camden, at the weekend and saw the fire damage there :(( It was, as I thought from the pictures on telly, the canal market behind the row of shops by the bridge where punkyfish was which was taken. The original Punkyfish shop got burnt too, and it was very sad to see the big fish still on the shop :(( It is all boarded up and demolition has started, I guess because some of the buildings are structurally unsafe. The main lock market, the stables market and the outdoor market are all fine though. I bought two skirts, a fab brightly coloured patchwork top and some silver shoes :))
I also had my first visit to my beloved Glastonbury since before my op. I went to stay with a friend in Somerset, Paul, and we also went down to Exmoor and stopped off at Burrow Mump, it was lovely.
It is chilly at the moment but sunny, spring does seem to be in the air :))
My friend Ann and I are going to Enchanted Manor on the Isle of Wight in June. It looks wonderful there, Jospehine Wall paintings all over, and the sort of place you could unfurl your wings and no-one would bat an eyelid. We are going to order a faery High Tea while we are there.
Faery dust and fae blessings.
Belated Happy New Year!
I am still here! I haven't logged in for a couple of months though, naughty Fae. So belated Happy New Year!
The end of 2007 was a bit abnormal as I had to go into hospital to have gynae surgery at the end of November. I had the op on Thursday 29th and was in hospital till the following Tuesday- I had to stay in an extra day as I kept getting a high temperature. I was then at home for 6 weeks recovering. My mum came down for a week to look after me, she got a rest too, which she needed (her husband who is 95 is very infirm and needs a lot of care). Then it was a gradual process of letting myself heal but also gradually building my strength back up. Trips to the local shops to begin with, then further afield into town. My cat Poppy loved having me home and I loved being home with her too. It was a good time for me to be off, it was cold out and dark early and the postman came every day with piles of Christmas cards and parcels! I was able to go to a friends on Christmas day. After New Year I was able to start getting out and about again. I came back to work on wed 18th jan, part time for the first 3 days, last week was my first full week back.
I think I am back to about 90% now, I still have to be a bit careful carrying anything heavy, but I can do housework again (shame!!) and go shopping and things.
And in just under 3 weeks time I am off to Glastonbury. yay :) I should be fit enough to climb the Tor and maybe watch the sun set from there.
I have been putting a lot of my art on Deviant Art, I am also jackiesjottings on there.
*faery dust sprinkles*

Fae greetings
Oh dear, I haven't updated here for awhile. time does fly! I am going into hospital for a gynae op next week *wibbles* so I have been frantically getting ready for Christmas early. I won't be able to get out much for at least a couple of weeks after my op so I wanted to get almost everything ready and get my overseas stuff off too. I have been having a making things frenzy, the house has been covered in fabric and thread and glitter and beads and sequins and the odd naughty word!
I also got myself a Deviant Art account, I am jackiesjottings on there too. Lots of my art and best photos on there.
Vanilla flavour cappuccino is yummy :)
I still can' find Brian Frounds new book on sale anywhere, none of the bookshops in Oxford have it :(( As I will be having an extended stay at home, I think I might order it online when I am back home recovering from my surgery. All bookshops should have a well stocked faery section I say. But I may be a bit biased.

Greetings from a snuffly fae
I've been a snuffly fae for a few days, laid low with a cold :( I was once given some tissues with unicorn pictures on them which were for snuffly snouts so whenever I have a cold I say I have a snuffly snout. hHaven't used any of the tissues as you can't blow your nose on a unicorn can you?
It is so warm for October. It felt more like summer than autumn over the weekend.
This weekend I am off to my favourite place in the whole world, Glastonbury, for the weekend. So I hope we get some golden autumn days and a lovely sunset on saturday please as I plan to watch the sun set from the Tor.
One of the things I really love on here is seeing all the fabulous photos people have uploaded :)

Dearest Jackie, just flying past to wish you well for next week, I'll be Thinking of you and sending magical blessings.
BeFor the last four years it has been Drew's and my mission to have a proper fantasy/faerie section in All bookshops, ever since we brought over Amy Brown's first book, the whole reason for beginning I Do Believe! It is a lot better than it was here in the UK as we now bring over many titles from the US not previously available here but as to Brian's gorgeous new offering, that's another story... They are available at his and Wendy's exhibition in London next week, I know that for sure ;)
Take care and lots of love from us all at EF,
