Hi everyone!
I have two fantastic framed ORIGINAL PAINTINGS for you tonight! One - "Amphitrite" has a particularly spectacular custom "Strangeling Frame" my husband Matt created just for her. I also have lovely "Darling Dragonling I" framed & up for just one penny on eBay. These both debuted at Dragon*Con - and are now on eBay - both are framed and ready to hang. Prints are up for both of them too!
To go ahead and see all of my other currently available original paintings - click below - I have some BEAUTIFUL originals up right now and will be adding more soon:
All right, the first new original painting! "Amphitrite" - Amphitrite of course is a sea-goddess, sometime-mermaid, Nereid, and wife of the great Poseidon in Greek mythology. I love this painting, it has a great little seascape, a darling cherubic baby (the baby? Perhaps a young Rhode? Baby Triton? Depends which legends you listen to!). The baby is riding on one of the classical dolphin/dragon/fishes that I love - and of course dolphins and many other sea creatures are included in the offspring of Amphitrite. And a nautilus - perhaps it's the mystery of their perfect "golden" spiral shape, but I'm fascinated with Nautilus shells, and love to paint them. The frame on this painting is GORGEOUS made by my husband Matt, features some big eyed cherubs holding a crest featuring the title and date of the painting carved in poplar wood - "Amphitrite 2010". She measures 33" at the widest part of the frame, 22" high in the center, about 1-1.5" thick - an antique golden finish on the wood - you really need to see the photos to appreciate this one! She's up in my eBay store where she will remain until purchased - you can see the original piece below here:
I'm making the "Amphitrite" prints available NOW on Zazzle - If the original isn't in your budget, grab one of these! You can get her as a print, poster, framed print, etc. up to 78" in size (wow!) - all here:
All right, the second new original painting! "Darling Dragonling I" is the title - the first installment in my Darling Dragonlings series of small paintings featuring my ever-popular dragon & fairy characters. Many of you know my Dragonlings through various lines of collectibles, statues, jewelry, ornaments, etc. with the Bradford Exchange & Hamilton Collection. Darling Dragonling I is a vibrant red dragon - colours are great in this one! I debuted her (appropriately enough) at Dragon*Con 2010. You can see her with all the lovely detail photos below. This is the ORIGINAL ACRYLIC PAINTING and yes she is FRAMED - framed she measures 12" wide by 14" high - an original acrylic painting on masonite panel - all ready to hang - the frame is lightweight resin with an ornate antiqued silvery finish that really sets off the beautiful piece. And yes - this original framed painting starts at just ONE PENNY up for a 7-day auction ending the evening of Wednesday, September 15th 6:00PM Central Time - you can see the original piece below here:
I'm making the "Darling Dragonling I" prints available NOW on Zazzle - posters, prints of all sizes, framing available up there too - If the original isn't in your budget, grab one of these!
Enjoy! I'll be posting a lot of new original paintings soon over the next couple of days!

However I did manage to have a scan made & prints ready so you can have the next best thing - prints up already at Zazzle (and if you order by tonight, they are half-off!). High Gothic style icon painting of one of my favourite subjects! Lots of medieval/gothic iconography - Saint George has a golden halo, and holds his flag featuring his standard. Princess is Princess Sabra, who is the princess he saves from the dragon as told in the ancient "Golden Legend." And as per usual - the poor little dragon doesn't look like he was going to hurt anyone! The original piece featured a gothic arch diptych frame by my husband Matt (it was two paintings in one - a diptych) - the print/poster version has been cropped down to a perfect rectangle featuring both. Original acrylic painting by me, of course! The original debuted and was sold at Dragon*Con 2010.

Enjoy! I'll be posting a lot of new original paintings soon over the next couple of days! Thanks again all who came out to see us at Dragon*Con
New stuff tonight! Let me see - first off, I have a large original painting up for a penny auction, and then a BUNCH of new #01 Lt. Ed. hand embellished canvas prints up for penny auctions as well ("Snapdragon Fairy," "Hamadryad Lake," "Priestess of Nyarlathotep," "Alice and the Queen of Hearts," "Vibrant Butterfly Fairy," "Masquerade of Moths," "White Pomegrantes," and "Pink Orchid Nymph."). We'll be leaving in a couple of days for Dragon*Con, but don't worry - all of these new auctions won't be ending until after we're already back home, ready to ship with no delay. ***Speaking of which - if you have any unpaid orders that you would like shipped before we leave - please be sure to get your payments in before NOON tomorrow, August 29th so Matt can get them out to the Post Office. Otherwise no hurry - we'll be back home the evening of September 7th and can ship then!***
***And oh yes - my eBay & Etsy shops have gone into "vacation mode" (ie, fixed price listings disappear while I'm out of town) - no worries though - they will magically reappear as soon as I'm back home from Dragon*Con. In the meantime, you can still place orders from Zazzle - they stay open 24/7 whether I'm here or not, and ship out prints within 24 hours***:
All righty - the new original painting auction is for a piece you may have seen before (a popular seller!) - she was previously in my eBay store but now that the shop is in vacation mode, I've gone ahead and listed her as an auction starting at just one penny - "Dinosaur Friends III"! Based on a true story! Quick background - when I was a very little girl I had some allegedly "imaginary" friends of mine which were dinosaurs. An amateur paleontologist even then, I remember them more clearly and distinctly than I do most of my other friends from that age. So I thought I'd create a series of paintings inspired by them. This is the third in the series, featuring a beautiful girl and several of her dinosaur friends (including one of my favourites - the triceratops!). This is an ORIGINAL PAINTING - not a print of any kind! It is on GALLERY STYLE CRADLED MASONITE - Matt has added a hanger on the back, so it is READY TO HANG! No frame needed! She is an original acrylic painting and is quite large at 20"x16" (masonite, ready-to-hang) and is up for sale on eBay - a ten day auction starting at ONE PENNY with no reserve - ending on the evening of Wednesday, September 8th at 6:24 PM Central Time and you can see her here:
Next my new #01 Lt. Ed. CANVAS Prints! A bunch of brand new paintings as well as a couple I had not yet got around to auctioning off the #01s for yet - good stuff here! "Snapdragon Fairy," "Hamadryad Lake," "Priestess of Nyarlathotep," "Alice and the Queen of Hearts," "Vibrant Butterfly Fairy," "Masquerade of Moths," "White Pomegrantes," and "Pink Orchid Nymph." Each is hand embellished in paint by me, little details added, signed & numbered - each of these is the first, #01 print of their edition - #01 out of 25. Here is your chance to scoop up the very first ones - each is starting at a penny, with no reserve for ten-day auctions ending on the afternoon/evening of Wednesday, September 8th 6:00-6:21 PM Central Time.
Great stuff for you today! Firstly, I have a beautiful new original painting for you tonight - a Halloween themed Dragonling painting! (And bidding starts at a penny!). Also I wanted to tell you about two more Christmas Ornament collections available now - one from the Bradford Exchange and one from Hawthorne Village. They are both for sale now at BradfordExchange.com. And finally, my brother-in-law Chris over at Magical_Figurines has some new penny auctions up for statues & stretched canvas prints.
First though - just a quick reminder that I will be at Dragon*Con September 3-6th at the Atlanta Hyatt Regency in the Grand Hall WEST room Art Show! I'll have a lot of new paintings that you have never, ever seen before! For more info check out my upcoming art show appearances here:
Now, let me introduce "Darling Dragonling II" - the second installment in my Darling Dragonlings series of small paintings featuring my ever-popular dragon & fairy characters. (Where is Darling Dragonling I? Well, she's debuting at Dragon*Con next week in Atlanta!). Many of you know my Dragonlings through various lines of collectibles, statues, jewelry, ornaments, etc. with the Bradford Exchange & Hamilton Collection, and here is your chance to own an original painting! Darling Dragonling has a Halloween theme - a smiling Jack O'Lantern with a baby green dragon atop it! Ready to hang - she is an original acrylic painting on an 8"x10" masonite panel that is 2" deep cradled (no need to frame - the sides are glossy black, gallery profile). Matt has added a hanger on the back, so it is READY TO HANG! She is up for an auction starting at a penny - 10 day auction ending after I'll already be back from Dragon*Con (no delay!) Tuesday, September 7th 6:00PM Central Time and you can see her here:
Mostly my new originals have been set aside to be debuted at Dragon*Con, but don't worry - if you can't make it to the show I'll still have prints & such of the new ones after I'm home.
Now, as I promised - I'm making the "Darling Dragonling II" prints available NOW. If the original isn't in your budget, grab one of these! These are BIG prints - starting at just $13.80 - and guess what? You can add on custom mats, frames, glass, etc. however you want it. And you can choose the paper type - glossy, matte, canvas, poster, whatever. Small sizes are available as well as large sizes - up to 44" in size. Just use the options in the upper right hand corner of this page to choose the size you'd like - leave it plain as a poster print or add framing options. No need to wait any more!!
