Fairy &Rottweiler Dog Rescue painting from Jasmine

    Thursday, November 8, 2007, 08:17 PM [General]

    Hi everyone!

I have a very special new painting tonight, a fairy with a Rottweiler dog - one I painted specifically for a VERY good cause - the sale of which (original, prints & canvas prints) 100% of the proceeds will be going to. In addition to the original, the prints AND canvas prints are now available & on SALE!

Also if you are having any problems with links working in this email, simply copy & paste the full link text into the URL field of your browser!

My kind-hearted step-sister Sonya (also an artist!) rescued a poor Rottweiler pup earlier this year, named "Mokey". Mokey came from the animal shelter, starting off in a bad way, catching & surviving kennel cough, but she finally pulled through and was rescued by Sonya. Mokey is a very good, cheerful doggie - such a sweetie, very thankful for her new life! Unfortunately Mokey has now been diagnosed with very severe hip dysplasia. Her only chance is a prosthetic hip joint which will replace her upper leg and left hip. She's been cleared by the local university as being an excellent candidate for the surgery, but unfortunately it is very very expensive. Once she gets it though, she will be set for life! Mokey has been through so much in her short life, we really want her to be happy and healthy, so Sonya and her family (and mine!) are all doing what we can to raise the funds needed. They're having yard sales, etc. up in Kansas City, but since I couldn't be there, I'm doing my part by painting this special painting - "Fairy with a Rottweiler" - 100% of the proceeds of this painting (every single penny) and the subsequent print sales will go straight to Mokey's surgery. "Fairy with a Rottweiler" is a 12"x16" painting (acrylic on a sheet of canvas) and is up for sale on eBay - a seven day auction starting at ONE PENNY with no reserve - ending on the evening of Thursday, November 15th at 7:45 PM CENTRAL TIME and you can see her here, click on the sneak preview pic below to see the whole painting:

I'm also releasing the Limited Edition Hand Embellished CANVAS Prints of "Fairy with a Rottweiler" - 100% of the proceeds go to Mokey's surgery with these as well. I'll probably auction off the #01 print later, but the other numbers are available right now - each is about 11"x14" - printed on a sheet of canvas, which I have then hand embellished with acrylic paints, signed and numbered. You can see them below:

I also have "Fairy with a Rottweiler" available as one of this week as SALE prints! Again, even with these prints, 100% of the proceeds are going to Mokey's surgery fund.

"Fairy with a Rottweiler" 8x10 SALE PRINT $10

"Fairy with a Rottweiler" 12x16 SALE PRINT $20

Every little bit, even just a single print, can help a lot - and you get a piece of lovely fairy & doggie artwork in the bargain, hehe. Thank you all so much!

New Mermaid Painting & SALE Prints from Jasmine!

    Wednesday, November 7, 2007, 06:44 PM [General]

We're back home from Kansas City!

A short trip, but we got to see everybody, which is good =) And we got to squeeze in a birthday party for my nephew Theodore, which is also good =) I miss everybody a lot already. But I'll be up at Christmas, not too long....

We actually got back yesterday but the cable line to Celebration got CUT somehow and our internet has been out until just a couple of hours ago, eek =P Which is particularly awful since we had so many emails/orders to catch up on. But we're getting everything together now and orders shipping out tomorrow morning, so that's a relief. I feel so crazy when I don't have the internet at hand! I forget about how much I rely on it.

Let me see - I have a brand new original painting to show you, and it is of a CUTE little mermaid. And she is FRAMED! Also, several of my most recent paintings are on sale as well!

"Sweet Little Mermaid" - she is a CUTIE - a big-eyed mermaid with some tropical fish friends. She is FRAMED and READY-TO-HANG on your wall! She is on a canvas panel measuring 8x10" in a special frame with an oval cutout - almost like looking through a golden porthole into the tropical sea - with a thick, beautiful ornate gold-leafed solid wood frame measuring 13.5"x15.5", and would be the perfect addition to any room. She is up for sale in my eBay store and you can see her here:

Click HERE to see my new "Sweet Little Mermaid" ORIGINAL PAINTING!

Next up are the SALE PRINTS "Bleak Mourning," "Magnificent Wings," "Autumn Wolf Maiden," and "Pink Ribbon Fairy" now available and on SALE!

    Enjoy the new art!

New Notre Dame Painting & more from Jasmine!

    Friday, November 2, 2007, 05:10 PM [General]

    Hi everyone!

We had an great Halloween! Hope everybody else did too!

Today I have a brand new ORIGINAL painting (from my "Notre Dame" series!), four new canvas prints, and some ordering information regarding my upcoming vacation (basically I'll be gone this weekend, back on Tuesday - one or two day delay on shipping - no big deal).

    ***************
PLEASE NOTE - I'm leaving to visit my family in Kansas City this weekend, but I will be back home on Tuesday (the 6th). Not a big deal, shouldn't affect any of my auctions, or anything like that. All orders paid by yesterday have already shipped out. Feel free to bid & buy stuff as usual - I'll be answering emails and shipping out orders as soon as I get home. So if I'm quiet for the next couple of days - that's why!
    ***************

First off is the new original painting - I just finished this one tonight - the third installment in my ever-popular "Notre Dame" series - we have "Storm Over Notre Dame"!!! It turned out REALLY pretty - inspired by my visit to Notre Dame Cathedral this last summer - the sky started brewing a thunderstorm while we were there - a very magical experience! (Of course by the time we left and got to Montmartre in time for dinner, it was POURING rain, lol - but still very magical). This one features a couple of the notorious gargoyles perched atop the Paris cathedral, with a mysterious winged beauty - and lo and behold there are ominous signs of lightning in the sky - it is a 16"x12" painting (acrylic on a sheet of canvas). It is up for sale on eBay - a ten day auction starting at ONE PENNY with no reserve - ending on the afternoon of Monday, November 12th at 3:49PM Central Time and you can see it below - click on the "sneak preview" image to see the whole painting!:

Happy Halloween & New Painting from Jasmine

    Wednesday, October 31, 2007, 10:04 AM [General]

    HAPPY HALLOWEEN everybody!!!!!!!

What are you all doing to celebrate? Trick-or-treating? Handing out candy? Having a party? Taking your kids trick-or-treating? Dressing up in costume? Samhain festivities? Watching scary movies?

HAPPY 21st BIRTHDAY to my cousin Sally!

HAPPY 4th BIRTHDAY to my nephew Theodore!! We'll see you soon!!!

Matt has made tons of Super Mario props to decorate Brian's's house with tonight. Through clever use of our wide format printers, foam core, and Google Images, he's made tons of fun stand-ups. He has his Luigi costume, and Brian is going to be Mario. Ought to be pretty great! Matt's going to post pictures, for sure!

We bought a bunch of candy, but we need to buy more. Every year we get so many trick-or-treaters here, we've run out of candy each time. Every kid in the four-county area comes to Celebration to trick-or-treat, lol.

Just got off the phone with Carrie (Tigerpixie Carrie) - she's here on vacation and is going to bring her kids over to trick-or-treat - assuming it doesn't RAIN. Unfortunately our weather forecast is calling for rain, wind, and thunderstorms, =P We're getting the edges of Tropical Storm Noel, who's right north of Cuba right now (which is actually not that far from where we live). Right now it's sunny outside, but sprinkling a little.

I'm going to make some mulled wine today, to be festive. I know nobody will drink it but me, lol, but I want to make it, and it makes the house smell all Autumn-y and makes it feel like Autumn (despite being in the 80s with a tropical storm outside, hehe).

Ah, almost forgot my new painting (me, forget to plug one of my paintings? No way!):

"Sea Beacon" is the name - out on a dark and stormy night at sea - a mysterious beacon - a winged maiden of the waves holds lanterns above the water - giving hope and direction to the lost ship on the horizon. A haunting yet hopeful painting, I spent a lot of time with this one and I am so happy with how she turned out. She's a big painting and very, very detailed - measuring 16"x20" - original acrylics on sheet of canvas. This original painting is up on eBay starting at just ONE PENNY with no reserve for a 10-Day auction ending the evening of Friday, November 9th at 7:39PM Central Time. You can see it below - click on the sneak-preview picture to see the whole painting:

To see any OTHER available originals, just visit my Original Paintings section of my store here (and if any aren't quite in your budget - remember you can use the "Make Offer" option on these and suggest your own price, if there's one you have your eye on....):

Enjoy the art, and have a safe & happy Halloween!!!

New Alice Painting & MINIS from Jasmine

    Sunday, October 28, 2007, 08:42 PM [General]

    Hi everyone!

Hope you all had a good weekend =) We did! Mostly just working of course, but we went on some nice bike rides too, saw a lot of critters out and about (deer, turkey, alligators, snakes, lizards, frogs, the usual!), which is always refreshing. Sometimes I go for way too long without leaving the house and I have to be reminded that there is a big world out there beyond my painting desk.

But of course, I got a lot of painting in this weekend too ;)

In fact, I have a brand new big original Alice In Wonderland painting! And it's my favourite so far! She is the 14th (wow!) installment in my Alice in Wonderland series - "Alice and the Flowers." Illustrating a scene from Alice Through the Looking Glass - (specifically the beginning of "The Garden of Live Flowers") - I have my little Alice, sitting amongst some stunning, big, magical flowers. True to the story - I was careful to make sure that Tiger Lily, Rose, Violets & Daisies were all there (along with some others!). I spent a long time on this one, painting every leaf and every detail and I'm very pleased with how she turned out! Measuring 16"x20" (acrylic on a sheet of canvas) she is up for sale on eBay - a 10-day auction starting at ONE PENNY with no reserve - ending on the evening of Wednesday, November 7th at 7:09PM Central Time -and you can see her here - click on the sneak preview picture below to see the whole painting:

Now these are not my auctions, but I can happily vouch that these are indeed the original paintings, being offered for sale by the original owner. She has four really cute ones up for sale at just $49.99 each - Click below to see her auctions for my original MINI paintings:
