Exciting news today! I have a new original FERRET painting, "Red Butterfly Ferrets," and due to the enthusiastic response, I have NEW metal "dogtag"/ID style pendants (lots of them, but they sell out fast!). In addition, I have yet another brand new product for you all - these are VERY cool - Framed Wood Panels of "Marie Masquerade" - wood reproductions that are framed in GORGEOUS ornate wood frames - you'll have to see them!
"Red Butterfly Ferrets" is a big 20"x16" original painting - acrylics on a cradled gallery-style masonite panel - READY-TO-HANG - also this is a charity auction (10% of all proceeds) - a fundraiser for the Broward Ferret Rescue here in Florida. I think this is the 10th painting I've done in my "Ferrets" series over the past four years. As you probably know, I love ferrets. I've known so many of them, and I do think they might be magical beasties. Here I've shown a big eyed beautiful fairy girl trying to keep a handle on TWO winged ferrets. Just think how much trouble they would get into if they could fly, lol! The bright reds and deep blacks in this painting really contrast nicely with the subtle, natural colours of the animals and the autumn landscape. She is up for sale on eBay - a ten day auction starting at ONE PENNY with no reserve - ending on the afternoon/evening of Monday, November 17th at 7:04 PM Central Time you can see her here - click the little picture to see the whole thing with details:
Next up - the new Framed Wood Panels! I've been working with Matt in his workshop, and we've developed another fantastic new product. Here we have a GORGEOUS framed wood/mdf panel featuring my "Marie Masquerade!" READY TO HANG! This is a reproduction of my original acrylic painting on an 8"x10" high gloss MDF panel. I can't stress how gorgeous this is! Glossy almost like glass, the colours are vibrant! The perfect way to bring "Marie Masquerade" into your home. The frame is beautiful, very posh looking, all wood, antique style with carved floral details and deep gold leaf that really goes well with the picture. It is a high gloss permanent image (NOT a decal and NOT any sort of decoupage or paper print, it is a heat-set dyed PERMANENT reproduction on a wood/MDF panel) set into the 11"x13" frame. These are so lovely - we've made two of them, and they are up in my eBay store at a fixed price (only $200 which is a bargain for a pretty piece of art on wood with such a beautiful frame - way less than you'd pay at your local frameshop, lol!). These would also make stunning GIFTS for people (hint, hint, holidays are coming!). Check her out in my eBay store here:
And now - for the NEW NECKLACES! Since these sold out so fast, I just had to make more! Lots of designs - Alice in Clockwork/Alice in the Pool of Tears, A Ferret and His Fairy/Two Fae Ferrets, Absinthe (extra cool!), Spiders and Skulls/Fishnets and Flowers, Mermaid Eclipse/Koi Pond Mermaid, La Sirena/Angel de los Muertos, A Beautiful Rat, Wicked Witch and Her Flying Monkey, Skulls and Stars, Each is a 2"x1.25" metal (aluminum) pendant featuring my artwork on BOTH SIDES! These are extremely durable - one solid piece, the image is permanently heat-set into the aluminum tag itself, no glue or decoupage, these can be worn every day - Matt even wears his in the shower so I can attest that they are very water-safe too! Each comes with a standard 30" silvery ball/bead chain (that you can also clip to size to fit you!). At only $11.99 each, they are a bargain - you can even put several tags on the same chain to carry your collection of artwork around with you. To see ALL the dogtag necklaces still left, click below: (again, these sell fast - even today the ones I just listed are already half gone, so I apologize if any or all are sold out already!)
I have a new original painting today, "Mermaid Eclipse" and also I have a NEW type of necklace for you - metal "dogtag"/ID style pendants on ballchains - they are REALLY cute, double-sided, and at only $11.99 they are very affordable. They're selling fast though, I'll have to make more soon, hehe =) I also have my new "Loup-Garou: Noir" werewolf painting up as one of this week's SALE prints!
"Mermaid Eclipse" is a big 20"x16" original painting - acrylics on a cradled gallery-style masonite panel - READY-TO-HANG - and darkly beautiful with some particularly stunning colours (I've been experimenting with colour lately and have developed some very bright/striking ways of presenting them!). I love the ocean, and have always been fascinated by eclipses. I was lucky enough to view one from the sea earlier this year, which probably inspired this piece. I've always thought that mermaids have ties with the moon! This gorgeous mermaid sits amongst the waves - the sky and sea have turned a blood red/magenta due to the bizarre lighting from the eclipse! This really is a stunning painting - check it out! She is up for sale on eBay - a seven day auction starting at ONE PENNY with no reserve - ending on the afternoon/evening of Wednesday, November 12th at 7:59 PM Central Time you can see her here:
And now - for the NEW NECKLACES! As I've mentioned, I've been hanging out with Matt in his workshop, busily coming up with new ways to share my artwork. I'm very proud to present my new "Dog Tag" (ID tag) style metal pendants! No, dogtags aren't for dogs, they are for people =) Each is a 2"x1.25" metal (aluminum) pendant featuring my artwork on BOTH SIDES! Again - they are double-sided, so many feature a different painting on each side - very cool! Since these are handcrafted, I'm listing them on Etsy.com - Etsy is a site for artists to sell their handmade goods, that's where I put my more "crafty" stuff when I have it. Etsy is FREE to register, it only takes less than a minute, and is even easier to use than eBay (everything is a fixed price, you just buy it and checkout!). Some of these are selling already, so they may go fast. If you guys like these, I will definitely make more!! To see ALL the dogtag necklaces, click below:
Matt & I have been working hard - we're getting all of your orders shipped out from over the weekend, and then we've been collaborating on some more new projects from Matt's Workshop (hehe, well - the garage at least!). So tonight I have not just one, but TWO NEW ready-to-hang "Wood Altarpieces" (an "Absinthe" one and an "Alice in Wonderland" one) - as well as the latest installment in my new line of magical "Mermaid Portholes"! Also I have three new ACEOs from my latest paintings!
Okay! First off, the first new Wood Altarpiece - we've recreated my "Absinthe" triptych - all ready-to-hang. This is pretty much in response to all of you who have been asking for physical, non-paper, ready-to-hang ways that everybody could display my altarpiece & triptych style pictures (who aren't able to purchase the original), and here we have it! "Absinthe" - READY TO HANG - this is a reproduction of my original acrylic painting on an MDF altarpiece panel. I can't stress how gorgeous this is! The perfect way to bring "Absinthe" into your home - there's a hanger on the back already. It is a high gloss permanent image (NOT a decal and NOT any sort of decoupage or paper print, it is a heat-set dyed PERMANENT reproduction on wood), on a THICK (.75" or 2cm) MDF panel which has a black finish on all beveled edges & back. It is 10"x10" in a gothic peaked altar style which can be the focus of any room or tucked away in a cozy nook! You really need to see all the photos in the auction below to see what I mean - it's pretty cool! She's up on eBay starting at just one penny with no reserve for a 7-Day auction ending the afternoon/evening of Tuesday, November 10th 6:00PM Central Time. You can see her below:
Next is the second fo the new Wood Altarpieces - VERY COOL - this is an Alice in Wonderland piece I've created into a triptych - three paintings in one Wood Altarpiece. The central portion features my "Alice in Clockwork" piece, then on the left side of the panel is a detail from my "Alice in the Pool of Tears" and then on the right side of the panel is a detail from my "Alice Descending" piece. So you get three Alices in one gorgeous 10"x10" glossy MDF altarpiece panel. It's all ready-to-hang, just like the other one, and is up on eBay for a 7-Day auction ending the evening of Tuesday, November 10th 6:03 PM Central Time. You can see her below:
Next up! A new "Mermaid Porthole" - this time featuring my lovely "Sea Turtle Mermaid". Matt & I have finally (after a lot of thought, and trial & error!) developed a fantastic new product - a series of magical "Mermaid Portholes" - truly like having undersea porthole windows to a beautiful ocean world! READY TO HANG! This is a reproduction of my original acrylic painting on a 8" round MDF panel. It features my "Sea Turtle Mermaid" - a beautiful mermaid with a spotted tail and a big majetic Sea Turtle friend - they're swimming in a sea of deep blue, with fish and coral reefs setting the scene. I can't stress how gorgeous this is! Glossy almost like glass, the colours are vibrant! The "porthole" frame is VERY LIGHTWEIGHT - it is NOT METAL (it is a cast resin-foam composite) and there is NO GLASS, so you can hang it easily on any wall without worry or exra braces - there's a wire hanger on the back already. Not at all heavy as it looks, I promise! It is a high gloss permanent image (it is a heat-set dyed PERMANENT reproduction on a wood/MDF panel) set into the 12" porthole frame. All in all it is 12"x12" and quite thick - 2" - all a one-piece frame (no, it doesn't open, sorry!). Perfect for a fantasy themed room, or a nautical/marine look, or also great in a bathroom or boat!! I plan on making more of these - they would look great lined up or in a grouping (like you're on a boat or in a submarine!). Again - you really should see all the photos in the auction below to see what I mean - she's neat! She's up on eBay starting at just one penny with no reserve for a 7-Day auction ending the afternoon/evening of Tuesday, November 10th 6:06 PM Central Time. You can see her below:
Now for the new ACEOs - for more info about ACEO cards, how I make them & what they are (basically tiny hand embellished one of a kind canvas prints, trading card sized and highly collectable), consult the individual auction descriptions - they are each one of a kind and are awesome! All are starting at a penny, with no reserve for ten-day auctions ending on the evening/afternoon of Friday November 14th, 4:08PM - 4:18PM Central Time
To see them ALL together visit the ACEO section of my store here (they may not have "popped" yet in the store, so if this link doesn't bring them up, just click on all of the individual direct links below!):
I'm back home in Florida! Hope everybody had a Happy Halloween, I sure did!
We flew up on Friday, which was Halloween and of course my nephew Theo's 5th birthday. We hung out at his house (with my sister Kachina & 3-year-old niece Ellie) all day - went to Pizza Street for lunch, hehe. That night was Theo's party - we gave him Mario Party - we had fun with that! We went around with the kids trick-or-treating - Theo was Spiderman (fake muscles and all!) and Ellie was Ariel, the Little Mermaid (complete with red wig!). They were adorable! Kachina made a ton of great food and had fun Halloween decorations and party favours & stuff.
That next day, we went to Matt's family's house - hung out with his mom, his sister Sarah and our niece Cielo. We took them to the T-Rex Cafe (it's funny, they just put one here at Disney too, so now I've been to both) - which was awesome. That night we went out with my sister Amber & her husband Chris, my mom & my stepdad for Mexican food, and then we went over to our new "little house" - everything is finished there just about, and it looks great! We're going to start shipping furniture and stuff now so we can make a duplicate of my art studio and our printshop there, so this way when we visit our "little house" in Kansas we can still keep the website, eBay stuff, and of course my paintings up and running =)
That Sunday my sisters, their families and Matt & I all went to hike some nature trails, ate at a fantastic new Indian restaurant, and then that night we went to my Dad's farm for their annual Halloween bonfire. Robin of course made a ton of food, we roasted vegetarian-hotdogs, corn, etc. Walked around on his land for awhile, had fun feeding the chickens, etc. My Grandma Griffith, Aunt Lisa, cousin Ariel, her friend Zach, Robin's family (Grandma Dale, Reed, Debbie, Matthew), Kachina, Amber, Ellie, Theo, Chris, Matt & I were all there. Probably even more people too, it was a big group!
Then this afternoon we flew home! A whirlwind weekend, with more food than anybody should rightfully eat in just three days, lol.
For the next day or two, Matt & I will be busy processing & shipping all the orders that came while we were gone, so if you placed an order this past weekend, it will ship out shortly. Great news, everybody! I have a bunch of my new prints are on SALE this week! "Poppy Fairy," "Winged Seer," "Sewer Mermaid," and "Pearl Swirl Mermaid" are all up on SALE!

VERY exciting update today (last before I leave for Halloween!) - I have not just one, but two new types of artwork for you! Matt, his workshop, & I have been working hard coming up with some beautiful new ready-to-hang formats for my artwork, and the new stuff is just so cool you'll have to take a look! A new "Wood Altarpiece" format as well as a new line of magical "Mermaid Portholes" - these are so fun! Also I have four new ACEOs from my latest paintings, as well as a link for you collectors from one of my other collectors who is re-selling the #01 Canvas for Molly Morgan on eBay.

Since I'm gone only a couple days, the eBay, etsy, & website are still up and running as usual - feel free to bid on my auctions, etc. - I'll be back home in just a couple of days so there should be no delay!
Okay! First off, the very first Wood Altarpiece (hopefully the first of several, if you guys like this!) - we've recreated "Alchemy Angel!". This is pretty much in response to all of you who have been asking for physical, non-paper, ready-to-hang ways that everybody could display my altarpiece & triptych style pictures (who aren't able to purchase the original), and here we have it! Next up! Some of you may remember my original "Porthole Mermaid." She was adorable in her little porthole window, but alas the original sold last year and I was never quite able to figure out how to reproduce the whole theme/format for other folks who were unable to buy the original. Matt & I have finally (after a lot of thought, and trial & error!) developed a fantastic new product - a series of magical "Mermaid Portholes" - hopefully this will be the first of many. Our first available Mermaid Porthole is, approriately enough, my "Porthole Mermaid" herself! Truly like having an undersea porthole to a magical world! READY TO HANG! This is a reproduction of my original acrylic painting on a 8" round MDF panel. I can't stress how gorgeous this is! Glossy almost like glass, the colours are vibrant! The perfect way to bring "Porthole Mermaid" into your home. And finally, one of my long time collectors has had to re-sell one of her #01 Lt. Ed. Canvas prints - "Captain Molly Morgan!". This is NOT my auction, but I can happily vouch for the seller that they are legitimate, and is indeed the legitimate #01 canvas being offered by the original collector. In case any of you are interested - check it out below:
