    Sick

Saturday, April 19, 2008, 10:53 PM CST [General]

Have not been here for awhile because I had "Cat Scratch Fever/Disease" & it was difficult for me to type or even to write anything due to my right pinkie looking like a fat little sausage!  Yes there is such a thing as Cat Scratch Disease you can check out WEBMD.com and search it.  I had to go and get a PICC line (peripherally inserted central catheter) & then get IV Antibotic = Vancomycin for 8 days, X-rays, bone scans and now I'm on oral antibotics & see my PCP Monday & if all is well then the PICC will be removed and I can return to work.  (A week without pay kind of sucks)

My in-laws have asked if we have gotten rid of the cat, as well as his/my co-workers and my mother & NO we have NOT and I DO NOT PLAN ON IT.

     MISTER

    The perpetrator

It was a pure accident on Mister's part.  I had him outside, there was a stray cat & she hissed at my cat, he growled at her, I went to grab him and then he bit the crap out of me! ! Pure instinct on his part.  So no more outside time for Mister & I will not grab my cat if he is pissed at another cat, dog or even another person.

      This is my doggie, Beemer.

He's a good dog... ... he hasn't bitten any of us or anyone!

    Missed you all of you.

Hope your week has been better!

Blessings to you and to yours.

     ***** April 21

Saw the doctor & now the infection has spread to my bone.  So another week off of work & I have to keep the PICC line in for another week and get more IV meds.  Whoot.  Oh and its not the cat, its my body!  My body could have reacted this way if a human bit me (though there isn't much comfort in that thought).  Tally Ho!

    What peeves me

Tuesday, March 25, 2008, 07:07 PM CST [General]

There is never any fae fairs or any fae oriented activities in my area.  We have medieval fairs (VERY small ones) but the bigger ones are  5+ hours away.  Also, its hard for me to find someone who is geniune in their beliefs and just not trying to make their life out to be like CHARMED or SPIDERWICK.

Then my husband, bless him, he just can't understand my fascination with the fairies and magick.  Because of that, if there was a fair or anything like that I would not be able to go because 1) I hate to drive to unfamiliar places by myself 2) Feel like a dork walking around by myself & not having anyone there to say "Oh gosh, look at her wings." or "Oh! Look at his lute."  (Grin)  You get the point.

Well, that's 'one' of many peeves I have.

    Have a blessed evening.
