FAERIE DANCE SHOW: "The Crowning of the Woodland Queen"

    Friday, April 6, 2012, 3:59 PM [General]

Hi everyone!  I'm writing today about a whimsical dance theater fairytale that my company, Ancient Rhythms, is producing this May, as I wanted to share this event with the Fae community here :)  "The Crowning of the Woodland Queen" is a rare and magical production that celebrates the power and beauty of nature and faeries without catering exclusively to children, as so many such performances tend to do.

About the Show: Stir your imagination with this transcendent fairy tale for all ages.  "The Crowning of the Woodland Queen" tells the story of a fairy queen to-be, a magical crown of wisdom, and the dark shadow of one who covets the crown for her own...

Ancient Rhythms Dance Company invites you to be captivated by fairies, sprites, water nymphs, tree spirits, and all the woodland folk who come to life at dusk to honor their Queen.  A heart-warming story of redemption, this dance-drama is a feast for the eyes as well as the spirit, told through a unique kaleidoscope of world dance fusion, influenced by Middle Eastern, Central Asian, Spanish, and other dance forms.
