Original Lowbrow Goth Acrylic Painting “The Act of Deflowering” for sale on Art fire!

Monday, July 13, 2009, 12:32 PM EST [General]

I added another painting to my art fire shop

The original acrylic painting “The Act of Deflowering” is for sale for $550. It is painted in acrylic paint and measures 24” x 36” on canvas board.

This original painting features a girl who is in a compromising position. She is surrounded by black widow spider representing the evil around her. She expresses her desperate emotion with her bright green eyes.

I really like this painting and hope you enjoy it as well.

    Weekend fun, Art updates!

Monday, June 29, 2009, 01:08 PM EST [General]

This weekend was really fun. On Friday I went to a dinner dance for my soon to be husbands work. The food was great and it was fun doing something different for a change. We also went to the New York City pride parade on Sunday and the costumes, floats, and music were really amazing. Over all it was a good weekend.

Now for the ORIGINAL ART Update!

I listed two of my original paintings on Art Fire. The first painting is “Trapped behind the Hat” and it was exhibited in 2008 in a Halloween Art show in Buffalo, NY. The painting is done in acrylic on canvas and is framed in a sleek, wood, black frame. The painting measures 36” x 24” and is ready to hang. To purchase or view click here

The second painting is “Secrets of the Garden, panel 3” and is part of a 3 panel series. It is done in acrylic paint on gallery wrapped canvas. The painting measures 16” x 20” and is ready to hang. To view or purchase clickhere.

Now for the ART CONTEST Update!

A few weeks ago I decided to d a contest that let others name one of my newly finished fairy paintings. Well I received a lot of great titles from many people and I need to choose one. This is hard for me because I got a few really good ones.

Here is a list of a few that really caught my attention...

    MoodeeBlue

    Blue melancholy

    Out of the Blue

    Aura Blue

    Violet Pansy

Here is what I decided by putting a few together... "Out of the Pansies Fairy"

    Thank to all who contributed.

Original Acrylic Painting For Sale on Art Fire!

Friday, June 26, 2009, 12:38 PM EST [General]

First off I wanted to comment on how sad yesterday was. First Farrah Fawcett loosing her battle with cancer. I know how it feels to loose someone you love due to cancer. The long struggle and constant hope that they will get better.

Next the shock of Michael Jackson dying at the age of 50, which is too young. It seems like all the icons die at such a young age. I grew up with his music, had his music tapes (CD's didn't exist back then), and tried to do the moon walk. My little cousin listened to him every night to fall asleep, she was obsessed. It is a shock and so sad.

Hello Julia, it's been fun wandering through your EF Gallery, we appreciate you joining our community and sharing with us here *big smiles* We took our boys to Buffalo to see Niagara Falls a few years ago and it was an amazing experience, to stand underneath that awesome natural water power and then look out on rainbows through the mists, wow! Warm welcomes to you in NYC *waves*
