About Me: I am a divorced, 56 years old father of 3 grown children and live in New Brighton, Wallasey, UK. I was a telephone engineer for 25 years but am now a part-time tutor of astronomy and spaceflight.
Unlike most males, I am not interested in sport and loathe football. And I find talk of politics, cars, and 'conquests' thoroughly boring. I am anti-religious, anti-bloodsports, but pro-animal welfare, human rights, and education. I despise arrogance, conceit, bad manners and liberty taking. I believe everyone has a talent or skill for something and hate to see it wasted, especially by the young, who should be encouraged to excel.
Music: Classical: Strauss, Saint Saens, Tchaikovsky, Elgar, Delius, Beethoven, Karl Jenkins, Philip Glass. And tons of 50's and 60's pop.
Movies: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, The Devil Rides Out, Sherlock Holmes (Basil Rathbone), Koyaanisquatsi. Almost anything old from Ealing Studios.
TV: All documentaries, Emmerdale (addicted), Sky at Night, University Challenge, Mastermind, and anything where yobs get a seeing to!
Books: The God Delusion, The Devil rides Out, Strange Conflict, anything by H.P. Lovecraft and August Derleth.
Likes: Warm summer nights, the 'smell' of nature, starry skies, misty mornings and forests, female legs, snow, thunderstorms, clouds, fried rice.
Dislikes: Animal cruelty, arrogance, conceit, bad manners, liberty taking, religion and football.
Hobbies: Astronomy, spaceflight, meteorology, particle & general physics, photography, art, classical music, model-making, classical & gothic architecture, archaeology, horticulture, computers, and reading.
Vices: Female legs,lust,impatience.

Hello Ken, it has been such a delight to wander around your beautiful photographic gallery, what treasures! Thank you for being part of our EF community & sharing your talents here. I wish we could come to your astronomy classes, we used to live in Charterhouse on the Mendips & went on a fantastic course at the observatory there - I miss those dark skies, they were magical, especially after we'd moved to Somerset from London;) I was also very lucky to attend a brilliant lecture by Patrick Moore in Bristol, he was so inspiring... |
