Don't quite know what's going on.  Logged on to this site this AM, and some of my pictures don't match up with my blog posts and when I try to fix them, my Blessed computer keeps uploading the same picture, even though, I'm trying to upload another one.  What the?????.  So, if my pictures aren't right, Please forgive me, while I try and figure this out.  When the computer doesn't work the way it's supposed to it frustrates me to no end.

This one didn't turn out quite like I wanted, but I didn't want to work it to death. So, I let him be.  Sometimes, I think that when an artist creates, they create what they have or what they want...you decide which one this (K)Night is??????

They keep popping up where I least expect them. When I started this one, I had visions in my head of her being dark-haired and powerful looking, But this Lilac lady came into existance instead.  It was like my hand had a mind of it's own.   I guess it's like Michaelangelo's angel in the stone,  Just  carved until he set her free.  I believe this fairy was in the paper and needed my hand to release her.  She seems quite content to be here...just Watching from the Lilacs

 There is a time and a purpose for everything under heaven.  Yesterday, I lost a dear friend.  He was a kind, funny , loving spirit.  And his death was totally unexpected.  And while that shocks and saddens me horribly, I feel very optimistic.  His passing has reminded me, once again, that life is short...way too short, and is to be lived with all the love and joy we can possibly  handle.  Work hard, play harder...and love with all that you have.   Stop and smell the flowers, Get dirty, blow bubbles, walk in the rain, give butterfly kisses, hold hands, sing at the top of your lungs, be grateful, make friends,  believe in magic, follow your heart, listen to your muse, always repay a kindness...and when your time comes, arrive on the other side....and say...."Whoa, what a ride!!!" (sorry, I know someone else said that, but it's true).  Sorry, for the sermon, but I guess that my friends passing just reminded me that life is short...and we need to live with everything that we've got....because there is a time and a purpose for everything under heaven!  Peace and blessings to all, Kim

This is the first watercolor that I have done in quite a long while...and to tell you the truth, I was "in a mood" when I started it...And this fairy knew it. I was kind of  irritated...and so was she.  But in the end, she and I made peace with each other. And this is what resulted.
