This little fairy has been playing on the beach. She is covered in sand. She found a mermaid crown and that is what she is sitting in.
Seaside Fairy
Medicine Woman
I call her the Medicine Woman she takes care of all the beach fairies and occasionally a bird or sea turtle. She is also made of paper clay and the face is handpainted. She is holding a little bird in her hand. The beach fairies love to embellish with beads, shells and treasures from the sea. They trade with the mermaids. The mermaids always find great treasures. I would really like to say thank you to all who have made me feel so welcome here.
This is my Woodkin
This is one of my Woodkins. He is 18 years old. I keep him in my studio. I have tried to make others to look like him, but they always turn out with their own personality. I guess that is why we call them ooak. It always makes me smile to look at the little guy. I have been making Art Dolls for twenty years. It is so funny the dolls you keep for yourself.

OH Kim, I just love him! You are really talented, love to see more of your work. I would love to be able to make dolls as well as you someday. Ann |
mermaid crown
I just love the Enchanted Folk! There are so many talented people here. I am happy some of you are getting a kick out of the fairy name finder. I started my doll yesterday. This is one of my mermaid crowns. I make them out of wild grapevine and then embellish with shells, sea glass, and vintage findings. If you should happen to find a mermaid crown, which is very rare, you will recieve the gift of enchantment and an eternal youthful spirit.

How delightful!! I am a prairie girl living over 1000 miles away from any seashore, but I love the ocean...This is a lovely piece:-) Thyme |

Very pretty piece, Kim! Living here in Rhode Island we have the ocean not too far away. I live out in the woods but totally get into trips to the shore to treasure hunt!!!
