    A Fairy Visit

    Monday, July 21, 2008, 08:25 AM [General]

There she was just sitting in the studio, but she told me she needed more protection during her visits, so I quickly went to work to make my guest more comfortable. Don't  worry no fairy will be captured in my world. She is free to come and go as she pleases

    Seaside Fairy

This little fairy has been playing on the beach. She is covered in sand. She found a mermaid crown and that is what she is sitting in.

    Medicine Woman

    Tuesday, January 29, 2008, 05:51 PM [General]

I call her the Medicine Woman she takes care of all the beach fairies and occasionally a bird  or sea turtle. She is also made of paper clay and the face is handpainted. She is holding a little bird in her hand. The beach fairies love to embellish  with beads,  shells and treasures from the sea. They trade with the mermaids. The mermaids always find great treasures. I would really like to say thank you to all who have made me feel so welcome here.

Very pretty piece, Kim! Living here in Rhode Island we have the ocean not too far away. I live out in the woods but totally get into trips to the shore to treasure hunt!!!

    This is my Woodkin

    Tuesday, January 22, 2008, 06:20 AM [General]

This is one of my Woodkins. He is 18 years old. I keep him in my studio. I have tried to make others to look like him, but they always turn out with their own personality. I guess that is why we call them ooak. It always makes me smile to look at the little guy. I have been making Art Dolls for twenty years. It is so funny the dolls you keep for yourself.

Dear Kim, thank you for being part of the EF community and sharing your gifts from the sea with us - I'm sure that beachcombing in your part of the world is a lot warmer that it is on our coasts! I adore searching for the beautiful offerings washed up on the beach and have many collections here, each with very happy memories. Your sea breezes here are welcome breath... I just posted Drew's and my Fairy Names on your blog at last - we've been thinking about the answers we got for weeks! We are very excited about Robert's idea for an EF Book and wish to thank you for inspiring this magical project. We Love Enchanted Folk!!
