    The Great Marriage

The patterns of life pulse through us all
as the crimson fires burn bright.
The ancient moon glows over the land,
as we celebrate our ancestors this night.
An ancient voice whispers on the wind,
telling a tale of their plight.
    Heroic legends and profound love,
the triumphant sagas of their life.
The drums pulse in the ancient rhythms,
as we dance around the circle.
    Weaving in the oldest patterns,
as did this night our ancestors.
    Soon the euphoria will manifest,
and all will be as one.
    The spirits of the ancestors,
The Goddess and man as one.

Dear Morrigan, this place holds a very special part in my heart and I was lucky enough as a girl to have been able to touch and hold these sacred stones before they put up the fences which now keep us apart from them... Watching this rise up out of the early morning mist is a common memory in our family as we used to travel that road quite often. Coming back as the sun was setting was even more magical and I am so thrilled to see your wonderful picture here. Thank you for sharing this on EF and a belated Welcome from me, I really appreciate you joining us.
    Blessings,

Very moving. Your page and poem could serve as an altar or shrine. Suggesting the great marriage as a unity of Deity & Mankind is an original one.
