a new year, a new beginning

Sunday, January 11, 2009, 04:52 AM CST [General]

    hello people :)

happy new year and i pray we all continue to 'wake up' and live.

many are realizing that life isn't what we thought it was about.

i've been able to read books, watch movies, talk to people (none of which are coincidence) and it is leading me along a path that seems to grow brighter and brighter. the current issues of the world are just that. the current issues. there has always been issues in the world it's just a matter of what point are we on the timeline. i believe we near the end of this life and will be entering a new way very soon. God has let us know about this in His Word but people have a tendency to not want to be told about anything that would make them have to take responsibility and do something to alter their course. i'm not waiting for someone else to direct me. i am learning to listen to God on the inside of me, in my spirit.

i pray you all have your own awakening and pray it leads to on a path that grows brighter and brighter. i know i am loved by the creator of the universe and want to be filled to overflowing with that love and bring it to those around me who don't yet know they are loved too.

    you are loved.

i pray every good thing comes to you and you choose to hold on to it. i have realized i have had many good things but didn't realize it. like the ruby slippers. it was always there, she just needed to wake up it.

well, many blessings to you all. and peace.

Urgent!! Help save MI Mint Farm!!!

Wednesday, October 29, 2008, 09:05 AM CST [General]

Hi people, Lori here. I've come across another cause. please take the time to watch the video on the following website. www.getmint.com  Helping one another survive the economic times is crucial to our integrity as Americans, as Believers, as people with integrity and compassion for one another. Hard times will come to us all and it is wise to look to outside opportunities to 'store up treasure in heaven' so to speak. There are many benefits to mint oil and i encourage you to visit the website and educate yourselves on these products. Thanks for reading and I hope you will respond quickly and help make a difference.
Mint oil is mcdougall legal and vegan.

This farm desperately needs to sell 72,000 drams of oil between now
and Saturday to keep their farm.

The bank is treating them unfairly (there's a youtube video on the site) and is hoping they go down because they aren't one of the "big boys"--soy or corn.

If you can spare some change and buy some wonderful peppermint or spearmint oil,
    please consider doing so.

It's great in coffee or water, wonderful
to rub on temples to prevent a headache, antidepressant in
    aromatherapy, etc. It's great stuff.

    Please consider helping!

    Cheers,
    Julie

HELP A FARMER IN NEED AND PRESERVE A PIECE OF HISTORY

As some of you may have read or heard, Crosby Mint Farm (St. Johns, MI) is under foreclosure.

Because of the historic significance and
the desire to continue producing this wonderful essential oil, your
help is needed. Please tell your friends and ask them to pass this on.

These farmers have been a mainstay of Clinton County and Friends
Forever! Please help if you possibly can.

$5 for a dram of pure peppermint or spearmint oil, and there's free shipping!

"In addition to having what appears to be the oldest surviving still
in the country, the Crosby Farms operation also appears to be the
oldest mint farm in continuous operation in the United States.

The key word here is "continuous" --- that it has cultivated and
processed mint since J.E. Crosby purchased the property before World War I."

Ephraim K. Smith, President; Heritage Productions, Inc.

Currently, there is enough essential oil inventory to pay this debt.

On November 1st the bank has the right to inventory AND equipment AND
then on August 14, 2009 they can take over the property.

77,000 DRAM BOTTLES MUST BE SOLD BY NOV. 1ST!!!

    Visit www.getmint.com

    THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

    struggling to let go

Friday, October 24, 2008, 10:08 AM CST [General]

how i wish i could visit a faire this weekend.  last week my husband and i let go of the foster family. we see that it was the right thing to do since the same negative pattern seems to be repeating. we have exhausted our funds trying to help them get on their feet  and it makes me sad to know they may lose their 7 children to the state. they have been living (quite miraculously) at the ramada at $120 a night for that last month. please pray for this family and for me as well. my soul is heavy and i'm struggling to get on top of it. this is probably one of the only venues i can share these feelings with. i wouldn't want to add any more burden on them. anyway, thanks for your support and prayers. peace.

Praying for you and the family. I'm sure you did the very best you could, hope you feel lighter of heart soon..

The struggle is the holding on, isn't it. So, many times it is the showing of kindnesses that is our role at times like these, not supporting someone's infancy. You are strong, wise, and giving and you live with an open heart. Good luck with caring for yourself now so, that when and if the time arises you are called to care for someone again, you are refueled. Blessings.

    Dearest Lori,

I am so sorry about your news. As I told you before it is not easy fundraising when others do not share your passion. You have done a great job and I am sure you have planted seeds of hope in this family. Sometimes things are out of our control and we have to let the situation go. I know it wasn't an easy decision for you, but you tried.

Sending you a big fairy hug and rays of hope for the future.

    Love and light

    horse rescue fundraiser update

Monday, October 20, 2008, 05:58 AM CST [General]

    hi people :)
here's the bottom line. the only people who showed up were a few friends. that's good but we didn't make any money. instead we finished putting up fencing for a new pasture area (the horses love it!) we spent some time grooming and deworming the ponies and the miniature horses. lot's of projects in progress and projects getting completed. we are content. i learned a lot about fundraising and it's hard hard hard work!! i'm exhausted!
i wouldn't trade the experience of doing the foster family fundraiser and the horse farm fundraiser for anything. i will do things differently and i will start by asking you all about your experiences doing fundraising. i could use some advise for the next time! :D send me your ideas and advise, PLEAAASSSEE!
if anyone in the area would like to come visit, just let me know and we'll set something up. the farm is a utopia to me. i feel such peace there and a little hard work never hurt anyone. :) it is truely satisfying to come home after a long day at the farm, eat something, take a shower and sleep soundly.
this week i plan on being in prayer a lot and working my own ground, so to speak. my house has been neglected for months now so it's time for me to get on it!
thanks for your prayers and i'll keep you posted on what is new at the horse farm as days go on. peace & prosperity to you all.

    Hello :)
So sorry it's taken me forever to get back to you, it's been a turbulent several months. Unfortunately my Mums house was repossesed so my Sis and I have had to move back in with our Dad in Essex (the other side of the country to Devon). I'm job searching at the moment, so I only have my own pets around me for now (sadly I lost my very elderly cat the day after we moved :-(, there wasn't anything the vets could do for him). We still have my sisters cat Darcey and...her 4 kittens! :D (it wasn't planned :P). They're soooo funny! I will get some pics up here soon. I got a lovely one of the kitten I'm going to keep today :), I've named her Thirrin :D. The others have homes to go to when they're weaned.
How are you? I hope life is treating you well :)
    Pixie smiles! :)

    Hi Lori! :D

Thanks! I've nearly survived a whole week so yay! :) I'm in the UK (West Devon), were it is very wet and the ground is very boggy (I lost my welly in the mud the other day LOL, it sunk about a foot deep! O_O, I managed to fish it out, the pony I was leading in looked rather bemused hehe!). I'm going to bring my camera down there shortly, the Autumn colours are fantastic and there are some fab views of the surrounding countryside :), will get pics of the animals too, there are ponies, donkeys, cats, dogs & ducks :D oh and one horse who lives at a friends down the road :)

My boss has an old bike which she said I can use to cycle back & forth to work, though I shall have to relearn how to ride one LOL, that should be amusing :-P

It is tiring work but very enjoyable :), I used to do horsework a few years ago and I can't believe how much strength I've lost in that time- feels like I'm starting all over again!

If I ever happen to be in your part of the US I'll be sure to come visit the rescue centre :), sounds a wonderful place :D

    Hope you are well :)
    Bye for now! :)

    Hi Lori,

I send you Big Congrats for your anniversary. 21 years! That's wonderful!

I wanted to also say I share your deep appreciation for the art of Waterhouse. He is one of my very favorite artists! I'm so glad you like his work too. We should start, or join his fan club. He certainly deserves a lot of members. And his lovely painting that you chose for your avatar is a fav of mine. What a graceful Beauty is she, being swept along by the wind. And such rich subtle colors. A masterpiece.

Best Wishes to you and Jim,
