About Me: Hello, my name is Vikkie and I'm 23 yrs old. I live in a small town called Licking. I'm married to a very wonderful man who is very supportive of everything that I do. I'm currently working on my first book, which I'm very excited about! o^_^o I'm also designing the cover for it, and it's turning out magnificently. I love to draw. I draw anime, fairies, fantasy creatures and scenes, and sometimes portraits. I also take my digital camera with me everywhere because I like to take pictures. Work and writing takes up most of my time, so cleaning anything is next to none, unless it's the weekends. I'm a big Disney freak and have about every movie on DVD or VHS. I collect fairy figurines and dolls, and drawings.
Music: Tokio Hotel, Good Charlotte, Puffy Ami Yumi, Korn, Ozzy, Rob Zombie, NIN, 30 Seconds to Mars, Fall Out Boy, Linkin Park, Eminem, Chris Brown, Taylor Swift, Celtic Woman, Christina Aguilera, Rascal Flatts, Eve, Lil Mama, Missy Elliot, etc. (if i named everybody i liked it would go on forever)
Movies: Silent Hill, Queen of the Damned, Interview with the Vampire, Chronicles of Narnia, Iron Man, Batman, Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Spiderman Trilogy, Ginger Snaps, Ginger Snaps Back, Ginger Snaps the Beginning, Lost Boys, all of the Freddy movies, every Jason movie ever made, the Scream movies, 50 First Dates, Law of Attraction, all Disney movies, Sailor Moon movies, X-Men 1-3, Indiana Jones 1-3, etc. I'm a really big horror movie fan. But I like anything that has a good plot to it, and it has to have good action sequences.
TV: Sailor Moon, NCIS, CSI; Miami, Dark Angel, House M.D., Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Stargate Atlantis, Stargate SG1, Yu Yu Hakusho, Inuyasha, Cowboy Beebop, Wolfs Rain, Card Captor Sakura, Bleach, etc.
Books: Oh gosh, where to I begin...Laurel K. Hamilton's Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series, Christine Feehan's Carpathian series and her Dark series, Maggie Shayne, etc. Those are just my top 3 because if I named them all the list would go on forever.
Likes: Art, writing stories and poems. Painting and sketching. Photography. Horses, cats(domestic and wild), fairies, dragons, wizards and witches, vampires(BIG on the vampires), werewolves.
Dislikes: People who act stupid just for the hell of it. Broccoli, spinach, asparagus, the smell of wet dogs, cleaning the kitty liter box(I mean come on who LIKES to do that?) I don't really have that much that I dislike.
Hobbies: Reading books, writing and working on my book, sketching, painting, collecting fairy figurines
Heroes: My mom. She taught me that I should treat people with respect whether they deserve it or not, and to always follow my heart and be kind to others. My husband, because he's taught me a lot about my self that I've never known. My friends, because they got me out of a tough situation and I'm very greatful for that.

    A very special treat! o^_^o

I have a very hard job to do now. Editing. Yes the very fun job of editing your first manuscript and not wanting to screw it up. So far so good though. I do have some good news for all...I'm giving you a little treat here! o^_^o A little sneak peak ladies and gentlemen!! But be forewarned it is my own work and whomever copies it for their own purposes will not looked upon kindly...Now for your viewing enjoyment....

Fire rose up out of the dark abyss, surrounding everything in it's path. Red and orange flames licked the walls of the building as she tried to pass through the hallway. On the walls hung paintings of all sizes, that now were unrecognizable, the canvas's curled into charred pieces. She dared not use the wall as the guide, for fear of burning her hands. Pieces of flaming wall came down all around her, one piece hit her on the shoulder. She screamed as a blister welled up on the reddened skin.

"Adri!" she yelled as smoke gaged her and made her cough.

Smoke filled her lungs making it impossible to breath. She could feel her knees go weak, her body collapsed onto the floor. "Adri, where are you?"

She couldn't seem to figure out where her friend was, or if she was even alive. Just then, a voice came up out of the roaring fire. "Help! Someone help me, please!"

That was no female voice, but male. Distant, almost a whisper. She couldn't tell if it was a child's voice or a male's. "Hello?" she answered. "Who's there?"

More smoke filled her lungs, making it impossible to breath let alone speak. Tears filled her eyes, running down her face, blurring her vision. She looked down, she could see her hands and clothes were torn and blackened from all the smoke and fire. Blood and blisters lined her hands and arms. Spots on her legs were bleeding from cuts she didn't even know she had. She felt like she was going to pass out, her head fuzzy and foreign to her. As she tried to pick herself up off the floor, she heard a loud groan come from above her. Suddenly, the ceiling gave way and began to fall in. Screaming, she moved out of the way as a large piece of plastered ceiling fell where she once laid.

On top of the plastered pieces lay what looked like a body. The girl was confused with the site as she walked around it, making sure nothing else was going to fall on her. Blackened and charred from the building's fire, the body barely hand any flesh showing. It smelled like dead skin just cooked over a hot grill. Blood and puss oozed from blisters that had popped from the fall. The sight and smell of it made her stomach roll, bile rising in her throat. She swallowed, forcing it back down into the pit of her stomach. Bending down to look at it, she could almost tell it was a guy, but could barely see his chest rise and fall with each swallow of breath.

    "H-help me..." he coughed.

She about jumped out of her skin when his raspy voice filled the somewhat silence. "Don't worry, I'm going to get us out of here," she said, carefully grabbing his arm to lift him up.

He didn't even scream or jump. But, as she lifted him, a large piece of charred flesh slide off his body and into her hands. She could feel the bile rising again into her throat. As his arm slid from her hands and hit the floor, more flesh peeled off. There was blood everywhere; on the floor, her clothes, and her hands. She fell to her knees and was sick next to the wall. The smell of vomit and blood mixed together hit her senses hard. Bile kept rising up and out of her body as the smell became stronger with each passing second. Finally, when she was sure that she had nothing left to throw up, she got slowly to her feet and wiped her mouth with the back of her hand.

"P-please help," he requested, almost pleading, his voice weak and raspy.

She could hear the desperation in his voice, the sound becoming faint as the sound of the fire got louder. It was getting closer, and more smoke filled the hallway. She coughed as more smoke filled her lungs. "I"m going to go find some help. I'll be back as fast as I can."

Before she could even move an inch, his hand shot out so fast, it caught her off guard. He had his fingers wrapped around her ankle in a vise grip. She screamed and looked down to find red eyes glaring up at her within a skinless, blackened face. She could see the muscles in his face, within the muscle she could make out the pale shadow of blood stained bones. Her stomach rolled again, bile rising up, but she forced it back down as she tried to look him straight in the eyes. "If you don't let go, I can't go get help." she could feel the panic rising in her gut.

    "No, you must stay."

She tugged and tugged, but couldn't get free. "Please, let go, you're hurting me." pulling her leg with her hands, but his grip only got tighter. "Let go..NOW!" her final tug rewarded her with a very gruesome sound...and sight.

Not only was her leg free of his grip, but when she looked down-ever so slowly-his forearm had come completely off his body. He didn't even scream or move when his arm disconnected. She, however, did scream and even tried to kick off the broken arm. "Leave me and you'll die," he said crawling towards her.

He dragged himself with his one arm, skin falling off him to the floor to mix with the ashes and blood around them. "No!" and she heard the grand before she could even move. The whole building collapsed around them, fire eating up everything in site.

I hope that everyone enjoyed that little tidbit into my own world of fire and death. Yes I know but if you were able to read the rest, you would love it! I think it's one of the best things I've ever written. If anybody has any critiques about this part of my book, please by all means, I would enjoy the feedback! Toodles

    Greetings to all!

Hello, there! This is my very first blog on here. Exciting isn't it?! Well, I'm very excited because I've finished writing my book! I have been writing this story since my junior or senior year of high school. That was about 2002-2003. Now, I need to print out my manuscript so I can edit and revise it. It's very long, it contains a prologue, 28 chapters and and epilogue. I'm also working on a cover for it, which I might put up here so people can see it.

Do you know how frustrating it can be when you have very little time, and you have to work, then try and find time to edit something you're working on?! Some of you might because you're either authors or artists, but I seem to have very little time to do anything. Anyways, I'm just happy that I finally get to take a week for vacation to work on my book! It will be very refreshing to not be working for a whole week to spend time with my husband and my manuscript.

Oh, and Stacy! I get to come down to Ozark for a couple of days during my vacation so we can hang out, maybe we could go shopping. (depending on who's car me and Stephen bring down there)....Well anyways, that's all there is to say. I've been dying to get all that stuff off my chest. Later days!
